looking for opportunities to trim my portfolio, i sold into the strength here yesterday

it wasn't without a little reluctantance since the chart for past year is pretty compelling but i'm looking for a retrace or consolidation at a higher level before buying back in

good luck to those of you who are more committed :)

Yes great news,
this solid but uninspiring co continues to surprise which unfortunatley means I only wish I had added more on the way up from the 90's.

Up over 90% in the last 12 months... I wish my whole portfolio was as 'uninspiring' as that! :)

Very good news.
I presume remediation filters are to reduce carbon emissions.Got to be lots of repeat orders.Filters need changing.

Definate breakout.Next stop around 175p maybe.

Contract Win

Porvair plc, the specialist filtration and environmental technology group today announces that its Microfiltration division has signed a GBP11.3m contract with the UK Government for the design and manufacture of a nuclear remediation filtration system.

The financial impact of the contract will be spread over two to three years commencing in 2013. Certain aspects of the project require further engineering and the precise timing of deliveries is yet to be determined.

After much analysis and thought, I eventually decided to do nothing ! The two stocks I was considering selling are still above my stop, and the reasons for buying them still valid so I've decided to sit tight but update my watch list !

I am looking to take a decent profit on two stocks and am looking at reinvesting the proceeds in 3, possibly 4, others. I haven't ruled out adding to existing holdings but I'm reasonably happy with the balance of this section of the portfolio at the moment. I have ruled out buying stocks where I already have decent sized positions in the sector - housing for example. At the moment I'm looking in more detail at PRV, VP. and DPLM plus 3 or 4 others.

2.4% of portfolio.
Bought on 4 occasions over the last couple of years. Prepared to increase on share price weakness up to 5%.
Sound technology, repeat orders, seems well managed,small debt.
I'll be interested in what you do and why.

Only another £1 to go before it reaches the rights issue price of £2.60 that I paid in July 2001. Then I will be a happy bunny!
