18/12/2006 13:54 | Forcast to make 1.1p eps to year end March 07 Recent IC article 8 December 2006 PORTRAIT SOFTWARE (PST) When Londoners dial 999, Portrait's customer interaction software handles the call. But the company itself has been in intensive care for the past three-and-a-half years, after the group - formerly AIT - had its management team and product set overhauled. "Clearly, there were more issues to sort out than we would have liked, but we've dealt with them," says chief executive Nick Randall. Nationwide is the most prominent of the 26 companies now using its software to manage customers' phone, online and in-store activities. And, since September, Portrait has signed its first £1m licence contract, with a large European bank, and a new partnership with Dutch IT services giant Getronics. What's more, investment group Advent Venture Partners recently became a strategic investor, following a £1.37m share placing, adding experience as well as substantial financial support to the board. So, while debt was high at the end of the period, this investment, and around £6m in second-half maintenance payments, should rein it in. -------------------- Ord price: 15p Market value: £13m Touch: 14-16p 12-month High: 27p Low: 14p Dividend yield: nil PE ratio: na Net asset value: 1.4p Net debt: 170% -------------------- Half-year Turnover Pre-tax Earnings per Dividend per to 30 Sep (£m) profit (£m) share (p) share (p) -------------------- 2005 4.83 -0.48 -0.81 nil 2006 6.06 -0.66 -0.84 nil % change +25 - - - -------------------- Last IC view: Buy, 21p, 2 Dec 2005 Portrait finally seems to be out of the woods. 04/12/2006 11:02 | TheBullyBoy It will take time for Staffware Mk 2 to build the business back up after the miscreants that ran it before. I believe that our patience will be rewarded. One day I might even be grateful, ( to the miscreants ) but for them I surely would not have been able to buy @ 15p. So I will hang on in with a 11p stop loss Regards Infocusint. | infocusint
04/12/2006 08:27 | Even if they do will it make a difference to the shareprice? I am losing faith in this one but will wait until Jan/Feb/Mar and see if it goes anywhere up. | thebullyboy
