05/5/2016 09:58 | Cantor raises TP 1400p (1200) maintains BUY | james8
05/5/2016 08:57 | The company has quite an interesting back story: hxxp://www.wax-lyric Bought by a US company in 1999 which tried to make money selling a range of imported goods but that ended up near receivership. Rescued by a Northern entrepreneur 2006; he is now chairman. I wonder what his plans are now; he said in 2012 that the firm had become his life: hxxp://www.thewestmo This is another good article about the company, particularly its industry partnerships and its export drive (35% of products, or 45% according to the article above). Clear synergies I would say: hxxp://www.manufactu | westcountryboy

28/4/2016 14:05 | Read Stockdale Securities's note on PORTMEIRION GROUP, out this morning, by visiting hxxps://www.research "In March, the group reported the seventh consecutive year of record sales in 2015 with both revenues and earnings reaching record levels. This outcome, as well as the group’s confidence for the future, has enabled it to increase its dividend for the seventh consecutive year. A final dividend of 23.9p was proposed, making a total of 30.0p for FY2015, an increase of 13.2% over the total amount paid in 2014. Dividend cover is 2.2x, which the Board considers a level that is both appropriate and sustainable level for the business. Over the last seven years, the group has increased its dividend by an average of 10.7% per annum compound and the total dividend is now more than double the amount in 2008...." | thomasthetank1

18/1/2016 10:41 | Agree. With the UK consumer predicted to be in good form this year, 2016 should be a good year for Portmeirion Pottery. I'm a happy holder. | ed 123
18/1/2016 08:13 | Thats as positive update as you can get from a board that never overstate. Record revenues and more to come when the new kiln comes on to line in February. | shauney2

11/1/2016 16:17 | Just enquired about the progress of the Kiln. The answer back seems positive enough for next Monday so I have added a few more. Good luck to all holders. Thank you for your enquiry. I am pleased to confirm that the installation of our new kiln has progressed smoothly. We plan to release a trading update on Monday, 18 January 2016. We will comment further on the new kiln in that update. | martinthebrave
08/1/2016 12:22 | Agree, PMP's market looks good. Also, PMP's new kiln should be coming on line just about now. 2016 should be a good year here. | ed 123
08/1/2016 12:07 | CCH trading update "ahead of current market estimates and well ahead of 2014". Must be a read across to PMP imo? Last years update was 19th Jan. I hold. | martinthebrave

12/3/2015 10:46 | Huge emphasis on their capacity constraints for manufacturing in the UK and resulting inefficiencies. They are spending 1.5 Million on upping the uk manufacturing capacity by 50% this year - which is roughly speaking a 25% increase in overall capacity. Assuming that the management is telling the story straight then we should expect profits to increase faster than sales as the new UK capacity improves efficiency and possibly works around the antidumping rules in europe as well. The 0.8million cash into the pension deficit annually is annoying but not terminal. The deficit should be funded in a few years and if interest rates rise should disappear rapidly. Happy to hold for the long term, take the dividend and with the prospect of increasing profits on top. cheers | illiswilgig
12/3/2015 10:31 | Ive just read through it all. A very major emphasis on the dividend and why it will remain progressive. Not much to quibble about here -the classic buy and forget share.Wonder what acquisitions there might be? | meijiman |
