Yes, but Tesla is valued on a lot of hope and thin air. This is valued on hard cash (and gold), at a pretty low earnings multiple for any business, let alone precious metals - very different.

Yeah and look what happened to Tesla!!!! :)

Tempted to nibble some more on this pullback. I always get itchy feet though Russian stocks side when this porty re-balancing happens.

Autumn sale in POLY. Anyone would think gold was $1500!

Should be just portfolio management. The shares have trebled in 3 years - not rebalancing would be akin to mismanagement (imho). Baillie Gifford did similar with their Tesla holding.

It's not selling out, it's selling some and keeping some after a massive gain - basic risk management.

Apparently this is behind the weakness...

"biggest shareholder, IST Group, sold 19 million shares in the company in a placing"

not seen an RNS though.

Wonder why largest shareholder is selling so much

Well it was (presumably) a sell. The classification of trades is meaningless and mechanical, just allocated on the basis of the price at the time. I often have buys reported as sells and vice versa.

Looking interesting. I was all out of these at 20.6, but have been doing my usual - buying low and selling for more on a regular basis. Small holding at the moment, didn't buy any yesterday, but will be today - 1800 is excellent value and a nice gap. A large seller in place.

Free money - possibly...

:-)

Mmmm, quite a drop and below key 1900 level - at the moment. Not holding many, so quite happy to see it come down - just not sure why at the moment. Might be another shareholder sale. FRES quite strong by comparison.

Ah, thanks for that, Just added some back at 1900-odd. Didn't know about that sale, but fine by me, it all adds to the volatility.
