11/8/2021 19:52 | Bulls will charge back and run gold to $1800 and wipe out bears stop positions. Poly soon back to 1645p. | montyhedge
11/8/2021 19:10 | Wonder what the interim dividend will be when announced next couple of weeks, my guess 45c. | montyhedge
11/8/2021 18:44 | Wasnt tempted this morning. Didn't get back to it til 2pm by which time the ship had sailed. I had expected a rise when they opened stateside just not quite as early. Today's chance missed. | finctastic
11/8/2021 16:26 | Green day for poly , did anyone buy todays lows ? | rasl5
11/8/2021 12:16 | You should get a SIPP - 25/40/45% instant tax relief. Free money - if you work (as I used to...) 😎 | imastu pidgitaswell
11/8/2021 12:13 | ok ,i only have isa and normal trading accounts ,did now know about SIPPs , just checked on google . | rasl5
11/8/2021 11:19 | But SIPPs need transferring. It's not a big issue for now - and as I say, I don't need the hassle all over again any time soon. | imastu pidgitaswell
11/8/2021 11:14 | imastu : transfer shares in / out not good idea , better open new account put some cash in it , next time you sell any shares in old account transfer cash to new account and re buy in new account . | rasl5
11/8/2021 11:03 | I am tempted - I do hear good things about ii (not IG). Having a painful transfer in (of an employer defined contribution pot) experience with HL, and total denial by them all the way through, plus a reduction in stuff previously included - broker forecasts etc, plus seeing their results yesterday which show they are heading for problems being unable to gouge their static clients as they have in the past - I want away. But the transfer in process was so painful, I am reluctant to risk it and not being in the market, especially with some extreme current prices here and elsewhere. I will do it at some point, but I guess not yet. | imastu pidgitaswell
11/8/2021 10:58 | I trade a large ISA and share account with IG. I don't trade much with CFD or spreads. I have used lots of brokers over the years, including Barclays and ii. I find IG to be much better value, and their desktop information system is fantastic. If you put a limit order in they work it all day and if the share price touches that level it gets executed or part filled. ii and all the others come nowhere near. There are no account fee's if you trade 3x in a QTR. Easily do that, and I pay £3 a trade. Best around for me IMO. I have bgt poly shares yesterday with IG, they do seem to muck about with cfd and spreads but never full shares. The prices I get are excellent. | wallywoo
11/8/2021 09:57 | what are ii share trading fees , with barclays i pay £6 per trade + montlly fee that is .01% of account i think . fills are almost alway better then my limit order , 2nd accont with ig is for back up. | rasl5
11/8/2021 09:45 | trader465: "IG prices are skewed" i agree with that ,i have account with barclays and i order poly with ig and barclays same quantity at same time, 99% of time barclys fill my order 1 or 2 p better then ig . | rasl5
10/8/2021 19:21 | Agreed. No problems at all with them. I couldnt log in once this morning, but I'm away from home and it was the back of beyond tbf. No hassles otherwise. Divs are in quickly and Ive had better prices there than on other platforms too. | finctastic
10/8/2021 18:16 | The gold flash crash organised by several banks wiped some bulls out in there stop losses. | montyhedge
10/8/2021 13:28 | I had no problem buying through II. IG prices are skewed, I've had two guy's sat next to me both with different prices on the same instrument, I suspect there's different data feeds being sent out. I certainly wouldn't use their spread bet or CFD service, one only needs to read the warning on their website. "81% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading spread bets and CFDs with this provider" | trader465
10/8/2021 13:15 | I also experienced some difficulties with ii this morning. They may have had some website problems. | fuji99
10/8/2021 10:57 | Managed to log in... Nibbled a few myself this morning as well as some CEY. Just a trading batch, not touching my LT holdings which I am up 200% on :) | geckotheglorious
10/8/2021 10:17 | Yes I think so... On another note anyone able to log into their II account? | geckotheglorious
10/8/2021 10:15 | Is that the margin thing from a few months ago - POLY was one of the companies named? | imastu pidgitaswell
10/8/2021 09:44 | What's with IG not accepting opening trades on Poly? Polymetal International PLC IG is not accepting opening trades on this market, you may only place an order to close. | geckotheglorious
10/8/2021 09:39 | Gold Flash Crashes By Almost $100 As $4 Billion In Sell Orders Hit | geckotheglorious
10/8/2021 00:12 | Gold recovers after 'flash crash' | philanderer
09/8/2021 20:37 | The banks step up the shorting today, causing a flash crash in gold, with stop losses just whacked for the bullls, they have made a fortune. | montyhedge
09/8/2021 18:31 | Gap to the upside will fill at some point.... | trader465 |
