Last year we had production results around 23rd July, then of course interims in August.So my theory is production results Thursday, only a guess.That would give us a indication of probable profits and what kind of dividend.

Going to be positive on the day - and so it bloody should be with gold doing its thing.

Good day to have been on the golf course - nothing to be done except see the other side of this mugging.

Re full year results - I have them as similar to 2020, given the average gold price to date. If we have higher prices than so far, we will have higher earnings (duh...) Mind you 2020 wasn't too shabby, and a repeat would still have these on around 9 times' earnings. Farcical.

Not too fussed about dividends - 6% isn't exactly small. Personally I don't see a special dividend - the current scheme gives all the flexibility they need, and in any event with flat(ish) profits, why would there be a special dividend?

Monty: I agree that for at least the last 6 - 12 months the price of gold was higher than in 2019 - 2020. Yes the results will be definitely better than in the previous year and I expect a special dividend on the cards. POLY is always and clearly focused on dividends payments to reward shareholders.

Ok, gold up 10 dollars, down 10 dollars, but with gold steady around $1800, Polymetal are making a fortune, interims next month. I think they give a production update before then. Bumper dividend I reckon will be announced with interims. I have a feeling special dividend on the cards, if gold stays around $1800.

Yes CEY has only one source of income and has to give half its profit to the government. Any production stoppage means income goes to zero. Very high risk.

CEY also has to pay 50% of its monies (and no, I don't know the details as I don't bother with CEY) to the Egyptian government, and has only one producing mine (I think).

It's a very different animal to FRES.

great result both for fres and poly. for me poly is mainly income but fres is a gopd bet too
