01/6/2021 09:13 | I find Interactive Investor the best, for dividend payments, quick execution and very low commission. | montyhedge

01/6/2021 08:39 | No dividend showing yet in my account with iweb. Anyone else with iweb? | spawny100
01/6/2021 02:41 | The market knows about this and is constantly pricing it in - Poly themselves flagged it; | imastu pidgitaswell

31/5/2021 11:47 | No withholding tax on my dividend, with Interactive Investor paid the same day has well. | montyhedge
31/5/2021 10:07 | Hi guys. I have IBKR broker and I am still waiting for dividend to be recorded on the broker. For the record though, can anyone confirm the withholding tax rate and if there is any, what country was this deducted in favor of? ISIN shows, that Poly is domiciled in jersey. Broker told me, they see the dividend coming from Cyprus. In either way, WHT should be 0%, however it looks like, the broker accrued for 15%.... | hennessyvsop
31/5/2021 08:18 | Finctastic : I endorse what Williamcooper104 says. In addition to ii, I can recommend two others: X-O and IG. The latter is good for foreign (but not Canadian) stocks, and IG's customer service is fairly good. The best customer service is from X-O, and it is cheap. But some people might worry about its relatively small size. Also, X-O has a transfer-out charge per line of stock. | meanreverter
30/5/2021 18:39 | Also don't forget that even assuming that all of HLs equity is enough to cover the costs of administration it could easily be two years before you get access to your assetsIn that period you won't be able to take any cash out and you won't be able to sell anything - you'll be just like one of Woodfords happy investors :) So the counterparty you are trading with is still v important Always best to have a few brokers and only trade with top tier platforms | williamcooper104
30/5/2021 17:56 | I think assets are in pooled nominees, not individual account nominees. That's the way I take it. May be wrong. | montyhedge
30/5/2021 15:59 | They are separate funds and in 99.9% of cases the assets will remain mine, but there is no absolute guarantee. To be fair to HL, they have produced a detailed answer to that question, which I have read a while go. And also, say they did get into trouble - they are publicly quoted and their share price would trail any potential issue well before it became terminal and give time to act. The problem of course might well be that if HL got into trouble, the chances are that others might also be in trouble, indeed the whole equity market might be in unrecoverable meltdown. Additionally they are the best financed of anything out there (see link above), and the least likely to go under - which is why I am with them. For the moment... | imastu pidgitaswell
29/5/2021 22:22 | HL have let me down quite a few times lately. Failing to fill orders when ample opportunity being my biggest gripe. Lagging on live prices and poorer price quotes than I get on other platforms. I have been with ii since they took over my TD Waterhouse trading ac and not had a single problem. I would move my HL stuff all to there but for being wary of having so much in one place. No worries about ii service though. | finctastic
29/5/2021 16:08 | As far as I understand if the company holding your shares goes bust it won't change the fact that they are still your shares and you won't lose them. Perhaps that's naive of me I don't know? | spawny100
29/5/2021 15:56 | You need to spread large amounts, what will happen to your cash/investments if HL go bust holding 100% of your assets?? | trader536
29/5/2021 14:15 | Maybe - I've come this far, rather than risk any more balls-ups I'll just get it done first and all in the one place. Then think again. But that episode yesterday is probably the final straw on top of all of their other failures on live prices, platform and withdrawals of stuff like broker recs, 'Client service' - an alien concept. Good job I'm relaxed and easy going...😉 The plan had been to reinvest the divis in FRES, but things change quickly, so having sold quite a few in the 1720s to buy more FRES earlier the week, the plan changed to buy the POLY shares back. Both should do well next week: Last week: free stock charts from uk.advfn.com This week: free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | imastu pidgitaswell
29/5/2021 13:22 | Vote with your feet, transfer to ii | trader536
29/5/2021 10:26 | That is daft, EQi received the dividend in £. Been with EQi since it was Selftrade back in the noughties, hopefully ii will be fine, it has stranded my LISA with EQi though. Neither ii, nor my SIPP provider Barclays, do LISAs. | robertstronghand
29/5/2021 00:25 | EQI accounts are being taken over by 'ii' at the end of june. I'll look forward to seeing how good they are. | philanderer
28/5/2021 20:40 | Just looked on mobile app so just saw balance. Must admit very impressed with interactive Investors. | montyhedge |
