And as I've said on there - it's not either/or, it's both; just a question (for me) of shifting the relative weightings as the prices move.

Very short term, I'm thinking FRES (within a week) will do better, given the particular factors there (MSCI deleting it so funds dumping, and also the price of silver relative to gold) - so have more in FRES and less in here than a week or so ago. But plenty (and I mean that) in both - it's only an opinion, and it could be wrong. I do think both are going higher.

Around a 10% relative valuation gap just opened up. It should close, it might not...

Good luck on FRES I.P., said months ago they look a poor investment as mangagement seem to miss every target and can't see them getting EPS of 90p. My divi is getting banked and will look to grow the cash pile and wait for a blow off in the market, AVCT doing its bit whilst 4D Pharma ain't playing the game. Watching Serica Energy who have 2 importnat drilling results shortly and Petrofac for conclusion of the SFO case as both look cheap.

Reliable management or reliable share price?

Question would be whether the discount FRES offers to POLY is enough to make up for the management.

After adding the previous share price movement, the prices of gold and silver, the current share price and the fact FRES has been dropped from an index together, I chose FRES.

It might take a couple of weeks to get rid of the overhang (and people 'giving up' by being impatient) from the index drop but I am willing to wait. For one thing there might be as pullback in gold/silver and if there is FRES is likely to drop less.

Monty - have you seen the silver price and compared it to the previous average achieved by FRES?

Why? Poly looks a much better investment.

At the moment, the POLY dividend, some £17k, is going into FRES.

2047p is my target thats their high.

Dividend payday this Friday, I would imagine dividend reinvestment plans kick in, might give a further boast to shareprice.

I can see Poly going back to their high of over 2000p when gold hits $2000 which to me is a given.

Gold pondering $1,900 ; Silver $28 - if break it'll be good - but who knows. Two psychological barriers at the same time.

Though I don't regard myself as a trader and certainly no chartist. I loaded up with all I could at sub 1400. 50% as keepers the rest traded all the way up to 1670 before it needed to go elsewhere. I believe despite the overbought/ downgrade notices recently this still has some legs. My average position here is 1489.68 and would like to hold more before the September div. Therefore happy to add.

Looking at the NA goldies they are unimpressed about the move towards $1,900.

Barrick down 0.5%, Newmont down 1.5%. Go figure.

Why would you want more at 1700? Where were you when they were at 1400?? You should have loaded up there ;-)
