16/6/2008 18:34 | Thanks for that, Super-N. Of course, producing membranes is only part of what PYF do ... and not the most interesting part, in my view. | jonwig
16/6/2008 17:59 | This looks like the base patent: Most of it's incomprehensible of course, but the Background of the Invention's fairly readable. She has several other patents filed in the same area (search Hammond and layer-by-layer and you get another 3 for instance) and the materials are certainly very interesting for a variety of uses. Interestingly this app was filed in 2004, so it's taken quite a while to get this far. Going into production is probably two or three years away at least, but I'd be surprised if these lbl materials didn't make it to market somehow or other. Whether it's really a pyf threat I guess depends on where their partners are on the path to commercialisation. It'll be interesting to read the pyf management reaction - a brutal share price fall... Good luck to all holders. | supernumerary
16/6/2008 17:37 | even more strange, if the game's up, that only on Friday PYF appointed Peel Hunt as it's adviser with immediate effect! | callumross
16/6/2008 16:29 | Morgs - there's no implication that MTI report is involved. Maybe the 50,000 dump was forced ... it's happened before with micro-caps. The MTI research is concerned with membrane architecture, 100 Nm (MTI) vs 20 microns (PYF), but of course that's not the main point: PYF are producing in commercial quantities, MTI have a lab report. Also, PYF are due to present prototype systems to OEMs this year. I think it's a forced sale by an insti, but won't be dogmatic on that. | jonwig
16/6/2008 16:02 | Having just scanned the MTI stuff, there is no mention of the membrane just the mechanics of ethanol delivery to the membrane. PYF's work is on the membrane. Have we just jumped the gun on dumping this? PYF does need to make a statement ! | morgs
16/6/2008 15:53 | Cash was 11p/sh on 31 Dec 08. I suppose that's not the point, is it? | jonwig
16/6/2008 15:49 | Is it really a busted flush? Well it didn't take much to cause this to collapse. | morgs
16/6/2008 15:47 | Hard to say, Callum, only 50,000 plus yours declared so far. The company haven't spoken, but the size of the fall suggests they should put out a statement. | jonwig
16/6/2008 15:33 | thanks for posting that report link, jonwig - that 10k at 14.45p was me getting out - unfortunately that was all they would let me deal in so I have another 60k to get rid of tomorrow provided we don't totally collapse in the morning. Is there any future for the company now? | callumross
16/6/2008 15:26 | looks like we are a busted flush, then -I really must avoid technology shares! | callumross
15/6/2008 17:05 | jonwig .... noted ..... thanks await to see any reply ...... | don muang
15/6/2008 09:56 | More on MIT membrane: I've mailed PYF and will report back on any comments. | jonwig
14/6/2008 14:27 | From PYF's statements, we ought to be a part of this. Membranes are mentioned but alternatives to Nafion ones don't include ours. Perhaps PYF ought to be shown the article and asked to comment - I'll do that on Monday. | jonwig
30/4/2008 08:37 | asparks - 30 Apr'08 - 09:26 - 1143 of 1143 (Filtered) no idea what you're saying as yourself (and your various other avitars) constitute my filtered list..... but as you're posting on this thread then perhaps you've see the light and have sold RGY to buy in to PYF... (that's a retorical question, isn't it?) PS: I'll unfilter you in December - as that's when we've already agreed that we'll compare relative performance of PYF against RGY.... | don muang
30/4/2008 08:26 | what's a broler Don? | asparks
29/4/2008 11:02 | .... interesting ..... seems you can't even get 1k online at full offer price ..... .... but seems they can still be picked-up at 18.5p if your broler 'tries'... | don muang
29/4/2008 10:53 | Still can't buy my 10k top up online - in fact, not even 2500! | callumross
29/4/2008 07:44 | Well, the bid has just ticked up. Not really surprising as I make the last 23 transactions to be all buys ..... | don muang
28/4/2008 07:57 | Well no surprises there then. Sounds good. I like the five step programme, it makes PYF sound like a recovering addict. I never expected much on the results, it is step 5 I am looking forward to and accumulating for that goal. Step 5 is the one that will start the buzz. | morgs
28/4/2008 07:19 | SO PYF has £6.85m in cash and short term investments. Its monthly cash burn rate is £325k per month So even if no income comes in it could function for a tad less than two years from Jan 08. | sa0705
28/4/2008 06:49 | well, the only real new information is the reduced cash burn and cash exectations - looks like they wont need further funding until early 2010 now! | callumross
26/4/2008 17:06 | .... and 'hopefully' the share price will lead the huge strides .... so I've put my accumulated PYF in the bottom draw until further notice .... | don muang
25/4/2008 11:50 | this is a company that will make huge strides in mid 09 onwards | sa0705
25/4/2008 11:36 | I can't add Morgs - tried to get 10k but you can't buy online, only sell. | callumross |
