Is there anybody on this board holding Polo shares in his personal account (and not through a nominee)? And if so, did they receive any communication from Polo regarding AGM or anything else?

President Xi said China will not build coal power plants outside China. He did not mention finance and there are a lot of questions as the BBC pointed out
“ Crucial details will need to be cleared up; when will this take effect? Will it cover new power plants approved but not yet built? Will China also stop financing new coal fired power stations abroad?
This is progress, but it's the low hanging fruit in terms of China's addiction to coal.
Half the coal burned in the world is burned in China. It is still adding numerous new coal power plants at home, with a lifespan of 40 to 50 years.
The biggest question remains: When will this country start to cut the overall number within its borders and substantially reduce its dependency on the most polluting form of power generation?”

Russman: Sadly, I think you're right about Tang. But it won't have been helped by China saying it will no longer build / finance coal power stations outside of China

GCM looks like another Tang smash and grab.

And, I should add, in the meantime you can continue to be a director of another AIM listed company. An AIM listing clearly provides no protection for shareholders.

It is rather a travesty. You have to ask, if you can simply delist a stock, stop communicating with shareholders and, presumably, make hay with the assets, what's to protect investors from that happening to any AIM stock?

A travesty of corporate governance.
Tang appears to be pillaging GCM
Polo has sunk in the Bermuda triangle.

Maybe you should ask how you can buy some shares, may get some attention.

Sent today to BVI office.

Dear Polo
Please provide some updates on Polo’s investments or is the company being wound up?
There has been no news whatsoever since the end of February…5 months!
What on earth is going on and why haven’t shareholders been informed? A disgraceful state of affairs.

I am still awaiting replies to half a dozen previous messages sent over the last couple of months.

Polo has sunk without trace.
Tang should be "ostrichised" with a blunt pair of shears.

I too thought that bringing in the Chinese would break the logjam; they are past masters at handing out brown envelopes while making sure they get value for money. Have the Chinese got a better deal with the Bangladeshis in freezing out GCM?

That’s what the Chinese are for!
Also when Dattels sold to Tang it was if memory serves at a price above the then share price It all looked very promising then with Tang probably buying at NAV. I do genuinely believe that Tang thought he could sort GCM in a reasonably short timeframe and never dreamed a further 9 years would pass without the green light.

Thanks, Mo. I'm still crying over why I didn't follow Dattels out when he sold; should have known there wasn't much upside if he sold. I hoped tang would bribe GCM to success; so schadenfreude.
