Polo is in profit.....you are not as you bought polo at a much higher price. As for GCM Compared to the price of last year where you have also been caught (70p) 22p is NOTHING......tang will be trying to get all GCM shares for polo for peanuts.....

Polo paid Dyani 10.45p per share for the tranche of shares mentioned in yesterday’s RNS for a total consideration of £1.6 million. Polo has made more than £1.6 million on those shares in 1 day so is already in profit on the deal!
Polo’s 29.9% holding in GCM has more than doubled in value today and GCM’s market cap is now £24 million. That’s a £7.17 million value for Polo and means they have made over £3 million today.
A good day for Polo and GCM.

I was Polo investor at that time and also in Caledon Resources and GCM having followed Polo’s lead. Caledon was not easy and at times looked as if it would be a disappointment. However it came good yielding a good profit and Polo made a lot of money which they distributed to shareholders by a special dividend. Gcm has clearly taken a lot longer due to political problems but it looks as if the end game may be upon us and it should be very profitable.

« Polo Resources makes approach for GCM Resources
Polo Resources, an Australian based company with investments in coal and uranium in Bangladesh and Mongolia, confirmed this morning that it had made an approach for AIM listed GCM Resources (AIM: GCM). Polo Resources has recently been tied to a takeover bid for coal producer, Caledon Resources (AIM: CDN).

GCM said it had received a preliminary cash offer of 175 pence per share. Polo already owns 29.72% of GCM.

Shares in GCM climbed 12% to 156 pence, suggesting investors were sceptical of any bid succeeding.

I suspect that polo has made an offer for all of gcm. I reckon tang has bet the farm which is why polo has not moved. Which explains why polo has hardly moved.

888, One might be caused to wonder if you weren't a sponsored mouthpiece for 'the big ego'.

On the GCM thread you ponder why GCM is suddenly up so much yet Polo isn't. I don't think many here would find that a surprise.

No doubt you'll be expecting an RNS from GCM to explain it.

BTW, as you seem to hold similar faith in the mysterious Dyani Corp., if you know who Dyani are perhaps you would be kind enough to tell us.

GCM now UP over 100%. I wonder how much today has been worth for Polo as the holder of 29.9%. Seems like a smart move to me.
