Hibiscus is certainly the jewel in the crown for Polo and is worth more than double Polo’s current share price It is a listed investment which means it could be realised easily. Yesterday’s news that Hibiscus may pay a dividend is welcome. I am not saying he would but it would Tang the opportunity to pass on the dividend to Polo shareholders.
But we also need to consider GCM as Tang got involved with GCM while Polo was still controlled by Dattels. Tang subsequently bought his stake in Polo at a high price per share. It has always been said that he bought his interest in Polo because of its controlling stake in GCM. Polo has continued to provide funds to GCM as it seeks to achieve the green light to mine the coal. Tang has now spent a number of years working on GCM culminating in the recent Agreements with the Chinese.
It appears that we are only going to unlock the value in Polo if GCM takes off. This is certainly very frustrating for long term shareholders. GCM is looking more promising recently so let’s hope Tang succeeds at which point we will have a very valuable company.

Just looking at Polo's investments:
Nimimi - Rubbish
Blackham - Share price at lowest ever. Any value?
Hibiscus - Good
Regalis - Hmmmm...
GCM - Corruption in Bangladesh has stifled this for over 10 years.
Universal Coal - Don't know but nothing good disclosed.
PRISM (Ironstone) - May come good but don't hold your breath.
Celamin - One of Tang's worst. Our investment stolen by tunisian 'partner'. Clearly no due diligence done on our 'partner' before investing.

The only action [bar Hibiscus] is Tang taking unwarranted monies in fees / salary.

I was a long term holder under the previous directors and sold a few months ago as could not suffer any more. I came to the conclusion Tang probably felt he over paid when he bought in and then realised he could get his investment back by charging extortionate directors fees. Sadly this has proved to be the case and feel will continue to run this public company as his own slush fund as he has total control. Just my opinion.

Two good RNS today reinforcing what an excellent investment Polo have made with Hibiscus. The suggestion that Hibiscus May start to pay dividends is very promising. As Hibiscus is such a big part of Polo it would be very disappointing if Polo didn’t pass that dividend on to us long suffering shareholders.

Hibiscus Petroleum may start paying a dividend. Perhaps M Tang could persuade the Hibiscus Board to pay enough to cover his salary at Polo.

Philjeans: POL owns 1.5% of Blackham. Since BLK has a market capitalisation of AUD 52m; Polo's interest seems to have a value of about £400k; or 0.1p per Polo share. Oh, wow.
Will appreciate anyone pointing out if my arithmetic is wrong as there are so many decimals to deal with.
Blackham shares now as low as they have ever been. Another 'brilliant' investment by Tang.

Proposal for AGM: Tang's salary to be index-linked to change in share price since he took control when he paid about 35p for his Polo shares; now 3p!

I am sorry to say that this bb has recently been infected by some posters and their use of language. The disease seems to have spread from the GCM bb.
