25/9/2018 14:44 | I reckon NAV is now close to 20 pence per share. Remember they had cash as at March this year of over 16 million dollars.....well above the mkt cap. So the investments are valued at zero. Which sounds impressive ...until you note that pol has lost up to 61 million dollars in a single year in recent times. The investment strategy here has been a disaster, the amounts paid out to directors is a scandal.....I am not sure what they actually do bearing in mind the investments never change. The result ...the biggest discount to Nav I have ever seen in nearly 40 years. Hib is soaring and the prospect of a good dividend. Could easily double again if oil prices move up towards 100 dollars. But Tang is the problem. Just have to hope the mkt looks at the cash and Hib and accepts the price is simply too low. | barnetpeter
25/9/2018 14:20 | I dont think this is new. It might be that you have to fill out a form to allow you to invest in companies with a registered office outside the UK? If you look at the investments..... nothing is held anywhere near the UK Polo Resources Limited P.O. Box 38 Sunninghill Sandton South Africa 2157 Registered Office Address: Craigmuir Chambers Road Town, Tortola British Virgin Islands VG 1110 T: +27 787 312 919 F:+27 (0) 86 537 0543 info@poloresources.c | barnetpeter

25/9/2018 13:44 | Well I am told by Barclays that is is a 'Sell' only stock if you hold as it is not/no longer a British company but based in the Virgin Islands. As such you cannot buy in the UK, only sell. Surely that cannot be great news if you cannot easily invest? | dixi
25/9/2018 13:39 | Wonder what that is all about then? It is a listed company and surely should be easy enough to deal in? barnetpeter - did you have any issues at all? | dixi
25/9/2018 13:33 | dixi Yes I hold a few in Halifax the rest in an ISA else where. They informed me over a week ago that I would not be able to buy anymore but could still hold and sell as needs be. | ps0u3165
25/9/2018 13:26 | As far as I can see Barclays now dreadful trading platform does not seem to think POL exists - anybody else had these issues at all? Many thanks. | dixi
25/9/2018 12:55 | Been buying these last few days. Bonkers discount. | barnetpeter
25/9/2018 12:18 | Can we please apply pressure to Tang. Topslice; buyback; distribution. Anyone know if Tang comes to London | russman

25/9/2018 09:33 | What price does Hibiscus have to reach to make a Polo share worth 40p? | millerman1
25/9/2018 09:14 | 😀😀 | spights
25/9/2018 07:37 | Hibiscus UP 3.54% currently at 1.17 having hit a 52 week high of 1.18 in early trading | 888icb
24/9/2018 23:33 | Polos 8.75% stake in Hibiscus is now valued at £28.9 Million. The current market cap of Polo is £10.29 Million. Come on Mr Tang you need to take action to remove this discount. On at least 2 occasions Mr Dattels sold a large investment and distributed the proceeds to the shareholders. | 888icb
24/9/2018 23:13 | Hibiscus 1.13MYRPrice increase0.06 (5.61%) Sep 24, 5:00 PM GMT+8 - Disclaimer | spights
24/9/2018 17:53 | I agree with Roomb. Even though POL could be classed a defacto investment trust and, therefore, it might warrant a discount to NAV. Polo's discount is, imo, entirely down the opaque workings of the management team and, arguably more important, the lack of any plan to return value to shareholders. IMO, the NAV will continue to grow until Tang etc make it clear what they're trying to achieve with their company and its individual holdings. I have been holding for years (pre Tang) and am underwater like the rest. I take some solice in the fact the Tang paid 40p per share for his stake so he is even more underwater than me. | smokyjoe
24/9/2018 14:35 | At least 12p imho | spights
24/9/2018 13:46 | Hibiscus went UP a further 5.6% today which is a further significant amount of money not reflected in Polo's share price. | 888icb
24/9/2018 13:29 | Spights ~ what is your ntav per share? Only listed. | russman
22/9/2018 14:17 | It’s a great shame that Polo is not reflecting the value of its holding in Hibiscus because that alone would value a Polo share at 10p! | 888icb
22/9/2018 12:33 | If we are relying on Hibiscus to get back to the future of the days of 40 pence a share, we are going to be very disappointed. There is very little connection between the Hibiscus share price and Polo these days, because the market does not seem to see how value is going to be returned to shareholders. | roomb |
