The Blackham $35 million placement was heavily oversubscribed and received strong institutional support from existing and new shareholders according to today's RNS. We will have to wait for Polo to tell us if it participated.

So Blackham are doing another fundraising. I wonder if Polo will be taking part?

Sad to see the shareprice falling so much the last few days, I guess this is the company that never ceases to disappoint though.........

Still - good to know that Tang is trousering over $1m a year for his sterling services, and will soon be awarding himself and the rest of the board 20% of the company through a totally undeserved share option scheme (I would have thought the $1m should be incentive enough to make Tang perform for a company this size)

I remain unconvinced by Tang.

COMMUNITY CRISIS:
On face value the storm damage may seem to be a small inconvenience to the Community.
However, Wiluna Traders provides food, postal services, mobile telephone and electricity payment services and fuel. All this to a remote, isolated community with no other infrastructure to provide these services; with the potential to be cut-off by further forecast storms.
While the shop works overtime to restore these essential services, the people of Wiluna now face a crisis with people unable to obtain the basic necessities of life.
This affects over 500 local people including outlying indigenous communities with no access to food.
The spirit of the community has been and continues to be amazing with people being understanding of this challenge and doing their best to cope.
Many community volunteers have provided in kind help and assistance. Special thanks to the Wiluna Town BFB, Meekatharra SES, Ngangganawili Aboriginal Health Service, Wiluna Police, Blackham Resources and the Shire of Wiluna.
We hope to reassure the community that recovery efforts are underway and all resources are being utilised to ensure access to these essential services.

Polo is essentially an investment trust. It is not unusual for Investment trusts to trade at a discount to NAV but the discount here is extreme. We just need to get Polo on more investors radars so they start buying the shares.

Acams, not sure where your 24p comes from...
the last NAV figure published by POLO was 14.5p Also I thought the cash was about 5.4p a share. Have I missed something?
Whatever the real NAV is at present, the share price is still probably at a massive discount.But as the value of the holdings goes up , POL's share price goes down. Strange, isn't it?

That is my point we have shares in Blackman and Hibiscus and our NAV is around 24p. I believe we have cash and cash equivalents to around 7p. Therefore my knowledge of investing is being challenged by the stubbornness of POL to climb into the teens. At 7p we are in the gutter but what is holding us there. This is much the same as Alice in Wonderland nothing seems normal

OK, you state the obvious, that BLK and Hibiscus are up. What's your analysis of why POL has been falling in price then? After all, unless we have shares in those two holdings, it's not doing anything for us, is it?

As Roomb be says there is along way to go and I'd certainly be happy when we reach 30p. If/when we reach 30p then who knows how far it could go with a diversified portfolio.
Roomb my comments should be taken as good humoured banter by the way.

Still along way to go to get to my original price of 24p ffs! But at least I picked up more at 4p and 6p.Yeeeehaaaaa. Watching too much westworld rooms!

Roomb and Shawzie the share price is rising nice and steady but you've gone a bit quiet. Would be interested to read your thoughts on the company going forward. Do you still remain negative or is the latest rally encouraging you?
