26/3/2010 11:15 | EML were the sellers of KAH. See their RNS just issued. Sold 50% of their KAH stake with the rest to follow suit. | papillon
26/3/2010 09:10 | This is more of strategic 'game play' interest to shareholders rather than one which will set the share price on fire but serves to demonstrate again why you wouldn't want to be out overnight. Still they have a 6% indirect interest in EXT, not to be sniffed at. Also highlights the significance of KAH, PRL, EML, URU. You want a slice of the EXT yellow cake then better to approach these. | soundbuy
26/3/2010 08:51 | i agree mate - this Japanese indirect buy in to Rossing South suggests that interested Co's simply cannot get directly a big chunk of the action. Polo is the only big holder not interested in the uranium just a significant profit on their strategic investment. | barryrog
26/3/2010 08:38 | It'll be like arriving late at a party soon, there'll be nothing left (esp. if Koreans act before Q1 end). Feel this time we'll have momentum behind and newsflow ahead of us so days of sub 4p well over. | soundbuy
26/3/2010 08:34 | well the mms are paying a premium to sellers so they are looking for shares. | barryrog
26/3/2010 08:19 | prl is like heating water before boiling. lots of energy and nothing happens. and then suddenly - wapour | odvod
26/3/2010 08:14 | its been suggested on the KAH thread that Polo's Extract holding was at too higher premium for Itochu or already earmarked for another buyer. exciting times but i'm late for work. | kerrie3
26/3/2010 08:08 | First round fired in my opinion. A lot of people will be sitting round lots of tables today pondering their moves. Could these be a buyer for PRL's stake? Whatever speculation, expect further news soon. :) | soundbuy
26/3/2010 07:55 | Kerrie3, yes what a risky strategy - Itochu are buying a 15% stake in KAH which effectively gives them a 6% stake in Rossing South - does it? what if KAH reduce their Ext holding, its a very tenuous situation imo. so what price PRL's 9.3% direct holding - worth today about 4.95p per share. surely a 20% premium i.e 6p per share is now looking conservative. | barryrog
26/3/2010 07:15 | papilon, the current share price is of no interest to those cos. clamouring to get a piece of the uranium at Rossing South. there is not much free float so not much volume traded - the really Big Boys simply cannot get a sizeable chunk on the open market. | barryrog
25/3/2010 23:40 | EXT has opened down a touch in OZ. | papillon
25/3/2010 23:32 | SAGEM, i would expect the share price to move much higher. If you think about it, the Japanese have had to pay a premium to get into Extract Resources by buying someone elses shares simply because that Co. already holds an interest in Extract. whoever buys Polo's holding will own a significant piece of Extract directly and all the voting rights and influence that ownership brings. | kerrie3
25/3/2010 21:16 | it's not just KAH that are seeing movement, former Nickel star TMC about to start mining (not officially RNSd yet so been buying last 2 days). The chinese are starting spending their dough on real assets rather than toilet paper sorry I meant dollars ;-) | hecterp12
25/3/2010 21:13 | So with all this activity I wonder what will happen to Polo's share price tomorrow.....any suggestuions ? | sagem
25/3/2010 20:43 | Hmmmm... From a rough calculation, that transaction appears to be at pretty much the current KAH share-price... ~£1.8 | katylied
25/3/2010 20:01 | things are certainly hotting up. obviously Cos. are having to take the indirect route to get a piece of Extract so we are very much in play. | barryrog
25/3/2010 18:57 | Katy, i'd settle for another Uranium gem - and if anyone can 'unearth' one - Dattels can. | barryrog
25/3/2010 18:43 | sounds good to me too. you never know whats out there Katy but i'd settle for the 5.5p cash. | kerrie3
25/3/2010 18:27 | It is a very nice thought barryrog, but I doubt a 'coal producing co' actually worth having, could be bought at the present time, for that kind of money (and I'm sure you realise that). Nevertheless, dream on... sounds good to moi... :o) | katylied
25/3/2010 16:37 | yes i can picture the RNS now. 'we have agreed to sell our holding in Extract Resources to Korea Electric for the cash equivalent of 5.5p per share. in recognition, our loyal shareholders on the register at eod 25/3 will receive a special payment of 2.75p for every share held and the remaining cash will be used for a one off opportunity to acquire the immediately earning enhancing assets of a coal producing co. the name of which will be announced in the very near future'. have a good evening guys. | barryrog
25/3/2010 16:22 | Kerrie3 If WHIreland are on the ball, then perhaps not long. Would expect PRL to wait any current negotiations re Koreans etc. before making a decision. But end of Q1 would be nice. | soundbuy
25/3/2010 16:22 | This company is heading for the big time | sagem
25/3/2010 16:16 | don't be so logical barry. the real question is - are we getting to the end game re Extract? | kerrie3
25/3/2010 15:48 | its another day where in the main we have Big Boy buys and little boy sells. now you would have thought that watching the trades people would think maybe i should be a little bit more patient here given what is happening to the price. but no every time the bid ticks up 0.5p off they go again. they started at 4.5p then 4.55p then 4.6p and so on - its now 4.75p and could well go higher. | barryrog |
