As the CEO set out in the podcast, it's the lender who had control over selling the shares.

Looks like they just sold the shares at the value needed to recoup the loan amount.

The latest announcement on 3 Oct showed Amphion still held 15,972,523 shares. At 13p that's 2.07m which equates to what they were owed ($2.3m plus 172k).

He had no say in it. The lender took what was offered to them and got their money back in full.

Good spot McFly. Yep - sounds like commercial (as opposed to research which he states are going at least to plan) sales start of 2021. He does reference a parallel application giving 5 yrs market exclusivity that pushes the usual 10 month approval process to 12. Any investor in this for the long haul will take that I reckon. A good interview though, with clear references to the massive market size in USA/Europe/Asia. I think we need to remember that the share price won't wait till sales start and should rise appreciably on a successful phase 3 outcome (stated as before year end) and the expectation of sales and profits thereafter.

CEO on VOX today:

On timelines the readout of results is hoped to be by the end of this year.

Polarean then need to submit the FDA application and then the FDA have 12 months to review. It doesn't sound like commercial sales will start in 2020? Anyone have any views?

The chairman needs to fund his lifestyle, he has no respect for shareholders!

Utter rubbish, they are forced sellers due to debt repayments. They are trying to keep as many as possible ahead of results.

Disappointing news today. With the original deadline for the loan repayment set as the 30th Sept, it meant some short term pain (and a buying opportunity) but the future rise expected if the Phase 3 trial is successful would have been able to rise unabated. Now any rise will be sold into diluting any benefit. I won't be adding until AMP has reduced its holding to a less meaningful level.

Agreed.

We should get confirmation of 100% enrolment in the next month or so and top-line results before the end of the year.

I'm sure Polarean and their advisors can help Amp exit at a reasonable price in the coming months. With positive trial announcements there will be demand for chunks of shares. Clearly Amp didn't want to be selling at these levels.

Good news on the loan extension.I'm really not sure how Amphion are going to survive though. At the end of June 2019 they had assets of $8.3m and debts of $30.3m.They are currently suspended from trading on AIM because they haven't published their 2018 accounts. This is because the auditors won't agree a going concern status. The latest results they have published were for the 6 months to 30 June 2018. At this stage they had debts of $29m which were showing as current liabilities (due within one year). The immediate deadline of the $2.4m loan has been extended but that doesn't resolve the larger funding issues. It looks like $8m of convertible loan notes are due on 31 Dec 2019.

Update reads well. Any views on our chairman ? His other entity, AMP, has been a disaster for shareholders. The overhang / recent selling by AMP has depressed our share price and needs sorting, seems to be a conflict of interests.
