02/7/2018 08:27 | that was harsh... meanwhile plus500 (a company which playtech owns a 10% (?) interest in) issued a healthy trading update hxxps://www.leaprate a market cap of 1.89 billion for plus would seem to net playtech 189 million... I can't seem to understand playtech Asian's business... could someone help explain that!? The stock price might go a bit lower from here after this savage markdown by the market but I can't help feeling it will in time recover... 'I can’t see where any improvement is going to come from.' The USA market has huge potential and finally sports is getting liberalized there. And lest one forgets playtech has most of the big brands as clients. | bor491

28/6/2018 00:22 | I agree with LeoVegas that a ban in the extreme form proposed will lead to a surge in advertising by unlicensed operators outside of Italy."LeoVegas encouraged the coalition to "revise" its proposal to address the serious issue of problem gambling "without populist slogans and action." LeoVegas warned that the ad ban won't achieve a significant reduction in problem gambling activity, as it will lead to a surge in advertising by gambling operators not holding Italian licenses.Ironically, the coalition's decree arrived on the 20th anniversary of Italy legalizing sports betting for the first time, which coincided with the 1998 FIFA World Cup tournament in France. Prior to that date, Italian punters' legal wagering options were limited to the ponies and lotteries. | nod
27/6/2018 17:38 | Italian Govt seems to be moving ahead with advertising & sponsorship ban hxxps://calvinayre.c | dennislevine
23/6/2018 03:37 | The share price is about the same as three years ago. We get 4% dividend so are slightly better off than having the cash in a Natwest term deposit account. I don't spend my time tracking my savings accounts though. | nod

22/6/2018 13:00 | I have a feeling Kenny @ gvc would have structured the deal differently. factored in legislative downside and/or made total cost future earnings related to a large extent. seems ptec board were naive. but now, we are where we are.... lets hope they can make it work | shaker44

20/6/2018 10:02 | Have sold out in both my ISA and SIPP(at a big profit). Too many uncertainties and poor share price performance. Reinvested in Syncona and Melrose. | brexitplus
20/6/2018 09:36 | The new government could really screw PTEC if they ban advertising and put strict limits on the machines (that is where the big profits come from). Could be a perfectly badly timed deal - hope is the new coalition fails or cannot manage to sort out the regulation | trentendboy
20/6/2018 09:08 | Morgan Stanley may not have sold 15m. All we know is they went below 3%. Some of their shares may still be on offer or they may continue holding below 3% or they may be trading given the uncertainty around the sector. I'm not sure the Italian purchase was the best use of cash. I hope PTEC thoroughly understands the Italy risks. | nod
20/6/2018 08:20 | If Morgan Stanley are clearing out, it still leaves them with a 1.4m rump to dispose of. The bigger question now, who bought the 15m?? Edited to add the 10m I missed with a slim finger | argylerich
