02/12/2017 10:03 | Re oohrogerpalmer.....N ' Re:- Barclays Stockbrokers you, having asked them several times to pay you the dividend for PTEC, can after 8 weeks refer them to Financial Services Ombudsman with evidence of your complaints It will be 6 weeks down on Tuesday ... reference date on or after 19 December 2017 for the Ombudsman. ' Foreign Exchange rate has moved from, € to £ at 0.8931 to 0.8822 will be interesting which exchange rate they choose when they do pay. | togglebrush
01/12/2017 11:34 | The MS stake is encouraging even if they've been in and out over the past year or so. Seems to be settling down now and IMO should just move slowly upwards towards £9 over the next weeks. Although they are acquisitive so who knows there may be something to come on that side too | noujay
01/12/2017 11:20 | Any barclays customers got the divi yet!!! I've updated my invoice to them to include the daily interest. | oohrogerpalmer
01/12/2017 03:39 | The MS stake is very encouraging. Morgan Stanley has had plenty of time, resources and skills to analyse PTEC in more depth than I can. | nod
30/11/2017 08:13 | See Morgan Stanley taken a few more, hopefully about time for another leg up towards the consensus estimates. | noujay
22/11/2017 20:47 | I've always judged companies on how they react when things go wrong and on that basis everything bad you read about Barclays is true. I'm in the process of transferring my isa but how long that will take is anybodies guess. I have actually sent Barclays an invoice for the amount owing for my divi with an additional £5 processing fee , I have also told them that this charge will increase by £1 per day from next week. No doubting I will get a letter telling me that my complaint is being dealt with!!! | oohrogerpalmer
22/11/2017 18:49 | I have found over the past 10 or 12 years that many Finance companies quickly treat any difficult enquiry as a "complaint". Difficult meaning tricky for them to answer rather than meaning a complex enquiry. An enquiry then moves into a "complaint process" which has a much longer resolution target. The complaint process is often defined in the T&Cs that we agree to (aka the small print).Defining a customer enquiry as a complaint makes it sound like you are a difficult customer rather than there is problem at the company in dealing efficiently with everyday enquiries. Thanks for the heads up. I had been considering Barclays but will cross them off if they can't handles customer enquiries effectively. | nod
22/11/2017 18:37 | With Barclays not had divi yet!!! I've contacted them 2 times and all I've had is a letter telling me my complaint is being investigated. If I am one day late paying my Barclaycard late charge is $15 plus interest, This is 20 Business days over due. Old times always next business day. New T & C is within 5 business days. BARCLAYS IS WELL OUT OF ORDER. | togglebrush
22/11/2017 18:07 | Anybody with Barclays had their divi yet!!! I've contacted them 4 times and all I've had is a letter telling me my complaint is being investigated. They certainly top the plebs table by miles. | oohrogerpalmer
20/11/2017 13:40 | All charts pointing north... but most importantly the company is very strong... and the drop only provides a great buying opportunity, and a proposition only made more appealing by the excellent bounce. | windsor430
16/11/2017 13:32 | This thing has been terribly oversold and the broker targets reflect that IMO. Obviously they are often wrong but they clearly indicate it's undervalued at this price. In fact they were saying that when it was at 975! | noujay
16/11/2017 13:26 | Indeed, Noujay, but it's great trading while the indecision lasts!! I think I sold out too early, but there's a few more hours yet... | woodhawk
16/11/2017 13:02 | Seems to be some growing recognition that this isn't a dog after all! | noujay
16/11/2017 08:41 | PTEC's annual report says "For those shareholders wishing to receive their dividends in Sterling the last date for currency elections is 29 September 2017". Presumably Barclays should have done that but failed? | b1ggles
15/11/2017 18:04 | Barclays says payments are made by foreign cheque, which seem to require a extraordinary time to clear in the 21st Century. I thought we lived in an era of electronic fund transfers? Even grandma used EFT to send grandkids money at Christmas. I haven't written a cheque in 15 years. | nod
15/11/2017 13:10 | Maybe after brexit, Barclays will have more native English speakers/writers! | shaker44
15/11/2017 09:13 | Thanks for the info regarding Barclays - I thought IGG were bad enough not paying for a week! Def won't be using Barclays! The cheque's in the post...LOL!! | woodhawk
15/11/2017 08:56 | Togglebrush If you want a good laugh, this is the reply I received yesterday regarding PTEC dividend payment due 24th October. Barclays Smart Investor Thanks for your email. The dividend is being received by foreign cheque that is why its has been delayed. The reason other providers are able to pay same day is they have a bulk account of their own money that they use to pay the dividends and then the actual dividend money is put back into this bulk account. We do not pay dividends in this way at Smart Investor which means we actually need to wait until we receive the bulk payments from registrars before we can pay it out. As Playtech is a foreign stock the payment is being made by cheque which is currently being processed to clear and then once it is cleared we can start paying the dividends out. | libertine
15/11/2017 07:42 | Dividend has NOT YET BEEN received. Barclays Stockbrokers reply is that there is "an issue with this dividend". T'was due 24th October. Emailed Barclays 7th November ... reply is above and NOW 3 weeks after due date NO DIVIDEND paid ... ' ANYONE else have a problem with this ??? | togglebrush
15/11/2017 05:33 | Lomax, oooops half asleep! | discodave4 |
