Yes, I agree with you about the AGM rerults though I am also in a couple of other companies who had AGM's around the same time and the just stated a band AGM report but are now a few days latter talking of new contracts and operation reports.
If you would like to check the companies out it is:
Wellsteam Holding (WSM)
PV Crystalox Solar (PVCS)

A bit worried about AGM results not forthcoming. Hoodless should know better to give a foreign company a helping hand in such matters.

FS, Sp went down due to the buy being at 9.75 instead of the stated 10p. In reality share price did not go down; only the buying price gave a quarterp discount. Thus lodged, showed share price as being down quarter. In fact recently pogl held up very well but not enough buyers still. i've been in since beginning. So up to my gills with it now, otherwise, it's an excellent time to buy big. Cheers,
pp

Why do you think the price went down? if you bought. Do you think the MM are trying a shake out? I notice that no one has sold shares, so I feel we may see a recovery over the next few days.

They may just be trying a shake out before the AGM results come out, which may take the shares to the positive IMHO.

Sorry, could not find that BBC News article again. It did say that China is to adopt a buildings/construction policy to stipulate added measure for earthquake resistance.

Lack of PR also a contributing factor.

Yes I agree with you. We will soon know the outcome of todays AGM and if the above comments on expansion and acquisition, we may get an announcement.
With Last years finals performing so well there is money in the bank to help lubricate any grow plans, which may be put in place. IMHO
The EPCM is an expanding market and with high oil prices, there is lots of money about to fund outside contractors like Plant Offshore Group, to do the EPCM on plant and processing facilities.

Flying Swan, thx for posting above. Please continue to post such as we are very quiet here at advfn and need other PI's input from elsewhere.

Dibbs - I have no doubt nor fear on POGL whatsoever. But Hoodless Brennan is the weaker link!

AGM today p.m.?

With recent earthquakes in Sichuan and Japan, POGL's rubber seizmic building innovation should reach these locations asap. Note China's new policy for all buildings to become earthquake resistent. Will post this policy later.

Chin up amidst uninspired share price performance (thus far).

I thought I would share this comment on this thread ON POGL from Sharecrazy:

As I feel it is relevent to our discussion here -
POGL (10p) Greetings, flying s - i believe you were asking about POGL but your post & my reply have disappeared in the computer downtime that the Board has had the last couple of days!

If i remember right you were asking if there were likely to be any announcements at the forthcoming AGM? Your guess is as good as mine but i think it more likely that it will probably be just the usual passing of the routine Resolutions etc.

However,i think the company do have growth on their mind-look at the Chairman's comments with the Final results to 31/12/07:-

"We are particularly excited about
opportunities to further expand our business in the ASEAN and Middle Eastern
regions to cater to the growing demand that we are experiencing for EPCM
services."

Whether that growth will come organically from within the existing set up or if they will go on the acquisition trail i don't know.
I have liked what i have seen so far, which prompted me to buy a modest holding but it's worth remembering,of course, that the shares remain high risk, are lightly traded and the company operates in parts of the world that don't appeal to all investors.Anyway, good luck to you with them(& to me ,of course! )

I've also been keeping an eye on POGL since their AIM debut, tempting aspects, mixed with concerns imo. I have accute suspicion of anything that Hoodless sponsor, only marginally better than Pac Con Securities and we know where they went! The liquidity here is very poor again casting doubt on the markets appetite for the float and the stock in general.

Ok, they are in the right markets at the moment however lumpy earnings make these a candidate for exceeding or under shooting earnings, should a deal be closed earlier or later than expected.

From memory EPS growth going forwards did not look that strong either.

Really I have not a clue either! POGL look like one that could double or half in the blink of an eye!

Good luck to those holding, I shall certainly keep an eye on these.

I was informed of this research report on (POGL) Plant Offshore Group:

They are recommending a Buy in the report, but please do you own research.

I have noticed steady buying of this stock in the lead up to the AGM on the 16th June 2008.

Does anyone know of any other research reports that may add to the discussion?

I was looking at the change in opinion for POGL in Barchart and notice a big swing to buys see link below to check this out for yourself.

I think confidence is increasing in this stock

With only 16 million share in the public market: see below this remark from the web site:

If you check out the News for Plant Offshore Group (POGL) you will see very good end of your final results with great grow potential.
I think the move in price is due to the continued buying of the stock by people see the potential growth.
I think it may also be due to expected good news at the scheduled AGM, which is due to take place on the 16th June 2008.
I hope this helps.

Plant Offshore group is showing strong gains today and over the last two days even though the market if flat.

I think this may be due to the coming AGM does anyone know how an AGM can affect a stock like POGL?

I am going to watch this stock over the next few days and see how things develop.

I think the next main resistance level will be at 13 p and if it breaks though that then we may see it raise beyound the launch price of 19.25 p

Well it is up again today, that is three days in a row, even when the market is going the other way.

I see a number of Large trades in this stock, which is supposed to have very few share in the market place, so if this continues we should see some moves closer to your 19 pence price.

Plant Offshore Group PLC made 3% gains yesterday and also today this is building into the start of the up trend following its floatation last Summer.

With very positive news last mounth in the end of year results it could become one of the strongest oil stocks in the AIM market in my opinion.
