Stock is exceptionelly high because they cannot sell it - as simple as that!

I doubt there will be many sells S until it hits a £1.
The shares are very tightly held and few in free float.

last trades

recent trades are of just 500 shares

I guess the MMs are limiting the size of trades

quite a solid price recovery been going on here

from 40p to 70p

interim results today show a notable increase in turnover (45-50% !!)
& EBITDA
======

personally I still think they need to achieve a big reduction in inventory

£15 million !!
double the cap. value of the company.

if they reduced it to say 7 million they would be almost debt free & the interest cost would dive

& the share price would phps double since the hidden asset value would appear as cash

& the divi could rocket !

Does anyone know why the inventory is so high ??

I am amazed at how little action there has been this morning but I guess that when the weekend papers pick up on the recovery a big rise will come next week.

Top class results- first dividend for many years and the prospects for more of the same should really send the share price back to former highs but could lead to a takeover before then imo.

A small amount of selling this morning providing a chance to buy in at a great price imo before what I expect to be a very positive set of numbers are announced and more importantly a busy factory that has been seeking more staff to run two shifts, which bodes well for the next half.

It seems that Chinese tanneries sales having been surging in H1 by as much as 21% (see link) which suggests that there is huge demand for leather for furniture, bags, shoes and car seats etc etc.

I am sure that this is a trend that is world wide as COVID lockdowns have been lifted.

With all the new tax rate that are going to be applied top dividends, lets hope that when PTD return to profit (which I expect they have) will not pay a dividend and use the money to buy more shares in the market to place in treasury, which would most likely have the effect of raising the share price up considerably, as there is so little stock floating in the market.

I was looking to see if there were any new videos posted from Pittards and came across this on YouTube -

They use Pittards Leather to make these jean, and then I took a look at the companies website £750.00 a pair. Not cheap but the small company has a full order book it seems.

All sorts of other exotic leather goods also it seems which I suspect also use Pittards water resistant leather:

I was just reviewing the companies house website for another businesses records but thought I would check on Pittards again, and I noticed the following charge had been satisfied as of 22.07.2021 that was with NatWest - another good sign. All remaining charges now sit with Llyods PLC which was set out clearly in the last accounts.

Another good start to the day and it seems the MM are looking for a lot more stock but not many weak holders around.

I guess the MM try a few shakes on the way up as it is taking very few buyers to send the share price northwards.

Ticking up nicely now on little volume, and now that it has broken though the 60p level I expect it may soon double from here when a trading statement is issued.

Onwards and upwards and surprisingly no new posters on this thread.

Clearly some are missing the boat as my target has long way to go yet but all view on PTD welcome even if negative.

Could a bid from be on the cards as they work with Mulberry and the connections between them all makes this look like a super fit, plus it is so undervalued that they might strike while the price is still half of what it was a few years ago when they raised funds to buy the factory site back at Yeovil.

Very odd, after that decent sized trade for 30k one can still buy at under 54p and normally a trade of that size, following yesterdays trades would have moved the market.

Is the house broker working the trades?
