13/12/2013 08:03 | Welcome onboard twiggy2, looks like buyers are now paying the full ask for any decent amount and can sell for 2.9p. | battlebus2
06/12/2013 15:06 | Bought my first lot of these today. | twiggy2
06/12/2013 12:27 | Good point Battlebus. | coolen
06/12/2013 09:31 | I think the points raised above are symptomatic of an issue with this company that it does not explain the business to shareholders. No one seems to know whats going on as there is no news between figures. Trading news can easily be dressed up to provide a useful RNS and keep investors interested. Management here may as well have gone into hibernation........ | meijiman
05/12/2013 21:13 | I thought we would have an advantage there due to the fact we had a growing supply in Ethiopia of their sheep and not cattle which is the problem in most countries. We will see soon enough I suppose. | battlebus2
05/12/2013 20:32 | Has "rising raw material prices" not featured often within their portfolio of P&L excuses over the past 20 years ? I am a long term (very long term, sadly) holder. | coolen
05/12/2013 18:20 | NO not sure but it's another good sign for Pittards who imv are on the up. | battlebus2
05/12/2013 12:26 | I was reading the H1 statement from Mulberry and I noticed the following, which made me take a look at Pittard, as I wondered if they sourced any leather from the company. "Global leather prices for luxury skins have increased by up to 16% during the period, and leather sourcing is a challenge that continues to impact all leather goods manufacturers, including Mulberry. Managing pricing and sourcing to maintain our gross margin targets will continue to be a key priority for the brand." Looking at the chart here and the news thread I can see the reasons for the rise since the summer. Does anyone on this thread know if the company supply Mulberry with leather? | clocktower
24/11/2013 21:44 | And what do you infer by that? | meijiman
22/11/2013 10:57 | Great volume again today. | battlebus2
14/11/2013 21:06 | Don't worry Ali the news is coming so be patient. The narrow spread will help others to come on board so for me it's a good thing but dyor etc... | battlebus2
14/11/2013 19:31 | Spread seems to have narrowed so maybe a seller around. BB2 any sign of the news?? Ali. | investali
14/11/2013 19:14 | I think there is more than 50/60% profit in this but a bit of profit taking and leaving others a profit if the wish to get in can be a positive move. | lady liz
08/11/2013 17:34 | Late reported 1 million sell by the looks of it. Held up well given. | battlebus2
08/11/2013 14:52 | no drinking at lunchtime for me!. The point I'm making, as you well know, is that they miss opportunities to update the market. Maybe they are shy or poorly advised. Looking at various companies with a similar mkt cap there is much more news -this lot can go for months without anything seeming to happen. They need to sell themselves a bit more. That said as long as the next figures show meaningful progress I will be happy enough. | meijiman
08/11/2013 14:00 | LOL been on that scrumpy early today, news only days away imv (only joking) | battlebus2
08/11/2013 13:58 | That's it then. Put a date in the diary to have a look in 12 months. I would not expect any news from the company in that period as nothing ever happens at Pittards (only joking) ` | meijiman
08/11/2013 12:44 | Bit of profit taking today so took the opportunity to top up again while we still trade at 3p. | battlebus2
08/11/2013 10:20 | If you needed any re-assurance on the impact of a return to the dividend list, just look at today's announcement by AUK and the effect on the share price | addict
07/11/2013 18:06 | Will put a few off but the shares should trade at 5p soon imv so well covered by any spread. | battlebus2
07/11/2013 14:20 | Decent volume again but near 15% quoted bid offer spread not helpful (3.0p / 3.5p).... OK one should be able to deal inside (200k available to buy @3.4p) but such a wide spread must put people off. | jaf111
07/11/2013 13:24 | Another scrumpy day of volume. | battlebus2
07/11/2013 09:15 | Yes,the potential was seen by the unsolicited bid approach. No doubt the major holders have a view on what might be acceptable, but the wording of the rejection indicated that it was well short of the mark. | addict
07/11/2013 08:43 | No not Stella I said scrumpy. Better control of working capital should free up some cash and pave the way for a dividend. This will attract some new funds I think. The point about dividends is that it shows confidence about free cash and future cash generation. it is coming together nicely now I think after lots of false dawns. | meijiman
06/11/2013 21:13 | Steller indeed Ali, as Lady Liz says no reason for these not to continue the rise to 5p. Even at 20 million given the brands etc it's way too cheap but as ever dyor etc... | battlebus2 |
