The way the market is going at the minute and with PHSC having such a healthy cashflow and special dividend prospects these could be just the ticket imv.

Hoping for a decent dividend, perhaps.

Getting a little interest over the last week with two 10k buys at 20.4p.

Thanks for that Sid tip :))

They could queue up for this stock as the market is so very fragmented but the management are not good at promoting the company around the City. It would actually make more sense for the management to work a plan the other way around and get themselves involved in some more specialist areas such as renewable energy and oil and gas for example but they seem to be lacking in imagination!

However it is dirt cheap and so cash generative.

If you you like this you could look at Siverdell (SID) as they get involved in asbestos removal and are trying to build their environmental consultancy business - also cheap imo but please DYOR

Yes the cash generation is the key at the minute and makes this a very tasty bite for a larger buyer. Not sure management would be keen to sell but you never know. 2 million market cap and nearly 1 million in the bank it's a giveaway at 40p. Amorruso seeing your in the business who would be potential buyers.

Will be very surprised if this company doesn't get bought over as it is so cheap and cash generative. I am no holder but always keen as I am in a similar business. Best of luck but with patience I think that you will be laughing.

The 31st Jan. Trading Update reports cash of £764,000 with about £100k due out on the earn out. It also forecasts an increase in profits this year. The last quarter of 10/11 produced cash of about £250,000.

Just my over cautious opinion. With earn out etc will we have that much left?

PHSC could pay out £400,000 & retain £600,000 on the balance sheet + additional cash being generated from ongoing operations in 2012/13.

How much more cash does it need?

gilston

No certainly not we need to retain enough cash for all eventualities even another acquisition if the right one comes along. Very happy with tuppence each year rather than using half the cash in one.

So you don`t want a 4p. divi? Strange.......
gilston

The two pence divi is almost a certainty given the recent wording. He's also in favour so i don't see the need to lobby. If the funds are there we will see tuppence imv. See a new appointment too.

Who said 2p divi? That was last year. With £1m.+ cash this summer [see recent trading report] doubling the divi. would be quite possible, since 1p per share only costs £102,761.

S/holders need to lobby the Chairman.

Nice to see a tick up even if it does increase the spread to 25%. Two pence divi to come helps the pain.

A good update given conditions with overall revenue down but profit up and a very bullish we will deliver inline statement. Cashflow remains strong so likely special divi.

Yes dd776 a super result given the state of the economy. To increase cash and EBTIDA is a feat in itself with 98k of the admin expenses. Some positives in there as well like the mention of the special dividend. As i said above i always found this management to be excellent. Well done Stephen and all the team. P.S. ungritting those teeth this is certainly worth 30p imv.

I am not a holder of this stock but I always watch with interest as I have my own business in a similar sector.

From experience I have formed the opinion that the problem with this company is not the sector that they are in but in fact poor management.
