Err....Horizon went up 110% today. I’d be more than happy with a buyout like that from these levels.

He's probably going to take us over for peanuts or get someone else to. Look what's happened at Horizon today. Should we be topping up?

One would expect the shares to go up but this is not quite the case. What's going on?

There you go. Another 5m for the CEO on Friday, so little wonder the bots were busy, and again today.

Just look at the large number of small AT trades on Friday compared to very quiet trading in the week prior to that. Just suggests to me that the stock is now ‘in play’ and some volatility can be expected, possibly with the objective of shaking out private investors to facilitate a buyout.

I’m thinking that the two larger trades could be a transfer of stock from U.K. to a tax haven, but that is just speculation until proved wrong.

Hi how do you know "the bots stepped in " ? agreed ew the large two trades either as you say a transfer or agreement between two funds one wants out the other wants the stock remember private equity company are a top ten holder here.

And then the bots stepped in. Unusual on a stock like this, has the hallmarks of a hedge fund playing with it.

2 x 5m with no trade flags, so in real time but far too big to be a bed and isa. That’s one hell of a large rollover or more likely a transfer from one account to another perhaps?

Hi Digger18 is that the average price paid or highest price paid over last twelve months as if the latter Serge bought just over a million pounds worth of stock at tad under 90p last Dec.

Serge is 78 just can't see him wanting to have the hassle of taking company private at that age more likely trying to average down his buy in price would love to be proved wrong so long as its not taken out in a Fusionex style carve up,

Well it seems that if he acquires the 30% threshold after Feb 2021, the cash offer needs to be at the highest price paid over the preceding 12 months, which seems to be about £0.55. Or am I missing something?

Quite right, too. No intention to influence anyone else; just explaining my reluctance to top up. I may well be kicking myself in due course and you will be laughing your head off. Time will tell. Holding is as much risk ss I am prepared to take, however.

bouleversee - 8753: My gut feeling is that he and his pals are in it for themselves and don't give a toss about shareholders

No evidence, circumstantial or actual, to support that view whatsoever. Of course you are entitled to make your own decisions on what you buy, hold or sell as is everyone else but an anonymous posters "gut feeling" is not a factor that I would ever take into account !

Well, I haves held for quite a while and my average p.p. is £1.4809 and am losing 66.24% of my book cost. My gut feeling is that he and his pals are in it for themselves and don't give a toss about shareholders so am not prepared to risk any more of my hard earned cash. I should be delighted to be proved wrong but whenever in the past I have topped up a loser, it has just been throwing good money after bad and compounded my loss.

Would that I had put more into Scottish Mortgage which is the only holding of quite a large number in that particular ISA which is showing a profit: up 141.08% in a relatively short period but not enough to stop me still losing over 34% overall on current values..

bouleversee - I think there's a rule that he can't bid at a price below the previous high price he recently paid, so you can't be squeezed out "for peanuts", but if you regard the current price as peanuts perhaps you should buy some.

Have you noticed that Serge C. and buddies in their private company are still buying up large numbers of shares when the price is down and now hold 26.48% of the company so not too far to go before they have to make an offer. Doesn't seem to do anything for the share price however. Something tells me that we lesser mortals are going to get squeezed out for peanuts.

These shares have gone down a lot since I bought in which is sad. Looking at the product mix it is diversified. The passport photo market may be difficult but booths can be sold overseas. Self-printing for photos, selfie kiosks, kiddie rides and laundry all seem like valid prospects to me, but think about the fresh juice side. I mean literally every coffee shop, cafeteria, large office, hotel and supermarket in the country could be a location for a fresh juice vending machine. So I don't want to hype it clearly because there is a huge way to go before it's a meaningful business segment, and the success of these things are all in the execution, but just saying for me that is a prospect I can understand. The share is a hole in my portfolio at the moment but I think I am going to stick with it.
