State Geology: About 1,218 licenses for mining issued in Kyrgyzstan

About 1,218 licenses for mining are issued in Kyrgyzstan. It was said at the session of the board session of the State Agency of Geology and Mineral Resources.

As on the end of June 2014: gold - 175, metal - 74, for non-metallic minerals - 477, coal - 220, oil and gas - 56, on groundwater - 216. At least 518 applications for licenses for subsoil use were received for half of the year.

Licensing Commission has issued 202 licenses, 89 applications - deferred, 255 - denied. Issued licenses: gold - 15 (search - 10, prospecting - 5), metals - 14 (search - 7, prospecting - 7), non-metallic minerals - 108 (search - 15, prospecting - 63, development - 30), coal - 34 (search - 1, prospecting - 22, development - 11), oil (search) - 5, the water (development) - 26.
