shutittrev - contrary to a couple of comments this is not a lifestyle company and the board have their feet firmly on the ground.

This is the kind of thing I detest, again hidden at the back of the AIM listing document.

'In addition, the Company will, at and conditional on Admission, pay the Directors and Officers a bonus of £180,000 in aggregate, which they will use to subscribe for 4,500,000 New Shares (£180,000 worth)'

rgm-is a farcical company.
This one has real assets and management team that have taken mines into production.

I don't really understand why they didn't try to do a placing at the 4.25p-5p mark given the amount of director buys around those levels.

You do have to ask yourself how these junior mining companies can all of a sudden pick up, in many cases, abandoned projects for peanuts then suggest they are worth tens/hundreds of millions of $ once they list on AIM.

I notice here the BOD have seed capital stock at a fraction of the current share price, always worth looking at the back pages of the listing document for that info.

Was there not a massive pump concerning Regency Mines (Andrew Bell) who picked up some abandoned coal mine in the USA only for investors buying in on it to lose 50% of their cash in quick time?

USA 'assets' indeed !!!

Agreed - they need to start focusing on profitability. If they don't start to pull their finger out on this front I shall start to move on

Well there is the placing as implied by myself only 12 days ago, the 3.5p price is below the IPO raise and is disappointing given suggestions they had interest in Canada etc.

Whilst this is a quiet BB I suspect we have a PR stooge posting here hence an attempt to drown out my suggestion of an imminent fundraise.

Is this turning into another typical AIM lifestyle Co which will continue to rely of discounted placings, there is a history of 90% losses for early entry investors in many cases, or is this the exception to the rule?

They have a wide portfolio of projects, where is the cash coming from to advance them I ask?

The Indonesia situation is a little complicated. The likes of freeport have been there for over 60 years and started operating when there was no mining laws in place, over that period they only divested about 12%.
They've had 2 contracts of works in place (1 'cow' is 30 years) and were looking for a third but that's suppose to be a thing of the past now with the Indonesia new mining law (2009).

Even likes of Freeport have to abide by the new mining laws and start divesting more..

Just my understanding of the Indonesian situation

Resource nationalism is alive and well and living in Indonesia.Looks like foreign miners could be in for a very tough time over there if even the largest miners in the world like Rio Tinto appear to be throwing in the towel. So glad that PGM had the good sense to target projects in ultra-safe locations in US and Canada.hTTps://www.ft.com/content/360d9182-5e65-11e8-9334-2218e7146b04"The Indonesian government has moved a step closer to acquiring a controlling stake in Grasberg, the world's second-biggest copper mine.Rio Tinto said on Wednesday that it was in talks to sell its interest in Grasberg to PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Inalum), a state-backed mining group. The talks come ahead of a 2019 deadline set by Jakarta that requires local companies to control at least 51 per cent of its mining projects and are a key part of a plan by President Joko Widodo to boost local ownership of natural resources."

I think the BOD must be hugely disappointed with the share price, hovering around IPO level of 4p, however there are market participants who are aware of companies needing to raise cash on a regular basis.

PGM stated a long time ago they will need to raise again (likely in Q2 or Q3 this year) I suspect there has been some forward selling in anticipation of a placing.

I would take a position here but am aware a fund raise is coming soon and will wait, I am sure others may thinking along the same lines.

Once the bank balance is healthy again I think there will be a re-rate but not until IMO.

Question is what price the placing?

Agreed. There could be a window of opportunity here on AIM if they do go ahead with a listing on TSX where peer mining companies are much more highly valued and highly rated.Volumes here on AIM gave been pitiful and all of the recent good news appears to have been largely ignored.Definitely under the radar but all that could change with a North American listing which would open PGM up to US investors.

The PGM lunch meeting has now been rescheduled for

WEDNESDAY 30th MAY

It will be held at the Royal Ocean Racing Yacht Club, 20 St James's Place, London SW1A 1NN

It was originally planned for Wednesday 23rd May but Richard asked to reschedule because he and a couple of other directors are going to the US again. I wonder what that's all about. Must be pretty important for them to have postponed lunch with us for a week. I guess we'll find out more on 30th.

Thanks to those who expressed an interest in coming along. I hope the revised date works. I'll send you a private message so you can confirm if you will be coming along or not.

Given the problems that even the major mining corporations have been having in countries like Chile, Indonesia and DRC it seems inevitable that, over time the decision to target opportunities in safe locations like US and Canada will prove to have been very astute. For the governor of Idaho to be leading roadshows in US to attract investment in mining opportunities throughout Idaho speaks volumes. Almost the polar opposite of many countries that are clearly intent on restricting foreign participation and with a fast-track permit and licencing policy in Idaho, PGM are unlikely to encounter the usual roadblocks that dodgy foreign regimes use to manipulate and restrict foreign interests.
