20/8/2018 13:47 | Welcome on board. Nice ride up from here I think | paulhunt1
17/8/2018 11:12 | Been watching this for a while. Decided now is the time for me to start adding a few. We use Pets At Home for our pets. | spookies
16/8/2018 18:14 | It will be unfortunate if Brexit causes a consumer slowdown, but in those circumstances a relatively safe haven might well be PETS, for investors looking for alternative retail stakes. | yump
16/8/2018 17:13 | ........tick tock the clock is ticking down to when the shorts will close.....not a case of if just when.....Im quite happy for them to pay my 7.5p dividend over the next 12 months.......AIMHO.. | muchodinero
15/8/2018 16:58 | my 12 month outlook for PETS based on current market factors and recent dealings within this sector (especially vets consolations) is probably an agreed takeover circa 190p as per the latest broker guidance with potential huge losses for Hedge funds trying to close 65million shares. Just an opinion ADYOR!! | muchodinero
12/8/2018 09:34 | Well interesting little fact relating to the recent news in July that The private equity firm BC Partners is close to sealing a £700m takeover of VetPartners in a deal that will mark the fast-growing sector's biggest UK deal. I've also discovered that BC Partners is the owner of one of on of the largest Pets retailers in the World operating over 1500 stores in USA & Canada with 55,000 employees. I wonder if they will start looking at PETS or will it encourage others to come into the frame for a PETS takeover....??? | muchodinero
12/8/2018 08:56 | Well we will have to see how much patience the shorts have. So long as PETS keep bringing the cash in by steadily growing the business and paying a handsome dividend. According to my conservative calculations, the shorts have 65million shares on loan, with dividend payments and loan interest it's going to cost them 10million pounds to keep their positions for another 12 months. Let's see who blinks first! | muchodinero
10/8/2018 07:36 | Pets have said several times that their market is resilient so I guess the update implies weather isn't an issue, given that it's been all over the place in the period ? | yump
09/8/2018 11:27 | That dividend is delish | rubberbullets
09/8/2018 11:26 | Pets humming | rubberbullets
08/8/2018 08:09 | Off topic from PETS entirely but on the subject of shorted stocks, the most shorted US share (Tesla) cost them almost $800m collectively last night with the rumour it will be taken private. David Einhorn burned again.. | dplewis1

07/8/2018 18:56 | RE: consolidation in uk vets ........what's even more puzzling about PETS current valuation is that this proposed takeover of Vetpartners is £700mil | muchodinero
07/8/2018 15:42 | The more the share price falls the more I will be buying. I will sit back and enjoy the dividend in the meantime. | pictureframe

07/8/2018 13:37 | Last act of a desperate hedgefund | paulhunt1
07/8/2018 13:14 | Engadine are actually increasing their short positions. | muchodinero
07/8/2018 10:25 | Not just Engadine. There will be a lot of shorts just below the disclosure threshold. A lot of shares to be returned in my opinion | paulhunt1
07/8/2018 10:00 | If Engadine start to reduce their short you won't see it on the tape, they use dark only algos to trade in size away from the lit exchanges. | dplewis1
07/8/2018 09:29 | Volume picking up as shorts close. | paulhunt1
07/8/2018 08:27 | MASSIVE gap to fill back to 155p. Most analyst/commentators now accept PETS are part of the ftse family! Lots of short positions to close, but they need to act before the income/pension funds arrive imo. Shorts had a good run, but their end game version just not going to happen. You can read this one like a book! | kmann
06/8/2018 21:21 | Not when it comes to Countrywide, got that totally wrong. Also with Restaurant Group not looking so good. | paulhunt1
06/8/2018 19:58 | Those ex Egerton guys are some of the smartest in the game - being on the opposing side to them is not a comfortable place to be at all..I might have to rethink this one. | dplewis1 |
