Multi year lows too. Really grim. Back in 6 months to see how low this has gone ( my first purchase was around 1.20 lol). Things were really grim then!Merry Xmas all.

Wonder what the CEO thinks of today's reaction? Probably nothing. Yes PE 15 ish now says more downside to come.Another 50% fall possible. Gone full circle in 5 years. And yet the div increased. Market not impressed at all. Beginning to price in falls in profits/dividends. 4 more years of Labour and we might not have much private enterprise

The increase in dividend is for the Interim dividend payment and not the final dividend.

My understanding is that such horrible budget is firstly a direct attack on the weak and the poor.
Then part of it such as national insurance increase on employers is the destruction of job creation because every business has now a big extra bill to pay - PETS being one of them (£18m in FY26).
How will they recover the money ? By sacking people, freezing hiring, increasing prices (inflation again) and reducing expansion in the UK and cherry on the cake, moving abroad.
Overall the more poor labour creates, the more they hurt the middle classes as their purchasing power is weakened, thus becoming poorer.
Once the middle class is decimated, the bridge between the rich and the poor is broken. So we will en up with a poor majority and a very rich minority.
This is when social imbalances occur leading to total anarchy.
The end of all this will lead to strikes and protests.
History shows that it's mainly during labour that we experience strikes, protests and economic turbulence.

Nick Rubens: Totally agree 100% with you. Regarding the pensioners - They are an easy pray because labour knows they don't complain too much. Most of them are too old to complain with many physically weak with bad health.
This is another argument this labour has no humanity whatsoever.
Young people will now understand why labour is kicked out of power for decades in the past.
It doesn't mean the recent tories are better but this labour is the worst governement this country had for years.

Regarding PETS, I am convinved it will recover in due time.
These days over reactions to results and trading updates are common as if everything is becoming more sensitive than before.

And these are all the reasons why shorting the UK mkt makes sense.I mean seriously, the chancellor allegedly lied abt being an economist. What was she, the tea lady?Sad state of affairs but that is why the US is my focus

Absolutely. Everyone knows these millions of uneducated and culturally incompatible young men won't ever be an asset to the country. It's part the process. They can be used for labour when the state has absolute ruthless control however. Who knows they could be the future enforcers, necessary when the existing police and military refuse their orders.

Very disappointing. Will hold on till the death as my initial investment/average is so low anyway. Yield of 12% too so as long as they don't go bust all good.

fuji99 Yes absolutely spot on, I am convinced they are purposely wanting to harm us. The elderly were the first targets having their winter fuel allowance suddenly terminated, with no regard for those poor elderly pensioners caught out in the brutal cut off point.
That should send a chill in everyone as no one will be safe from these clowns and the food production is now under attack.
PET share price falling and though painful for shareholders is nothing compared to the wider reality of whats coming.

Nick Rubens: If the farmers are hurt, then there will be less farmers thus less food.
If there is less food, its price will go over the roof, meaning HIGHER inflation.
If there is higher inflation, interest rates will rise and people with mortgages will be hurt. So the cycle of destruction is triggered and won't be stopped.
So anything this labour has done or will do is basically hurting the citizens of this country at EVERY level because every action they take is a domino effect of disaster.
