So will the other 2.94% be sold around 15-17p level, likely to put a drag on the share price IF so?

Does anyone know what Hadron bought in at? Clearly if they have sold https://www.investegate.co.uk/petrotal-corp./rns/tr-1--notification-of-major-holdings/202104160700066477V/ 0.71% of the stock (5.75 million shares) and still have 24,000,000 shares to sell. answering my own question: (25th Jan 2021) https://www.investegate.co.uk/petrotal-corp./rns/tr-1--notification-of-major-holdings/202101290715013364N/ I have the price at just under 15p on 25th Jan. I read into this that they are happy to sell at 15-16p. Hence there is a block of stock we should expect to be sold into the market at that price. Nam et ipsa scientia potestas est.

In the end if the government decide that for future contracts they want a higher royalty rate then that is a decision for investors to face at the time of deciding whether or not to invest. Notwithstanding what the extreme left think governments cannot just change contracts that are already in place. There are limitations as to what they can do. That is what FTAs do (Free Trade Agreements). Whether Castillo will win or not is unclear. Probably not, but although it will create some chaos and hold back investment if he did it should not put everyone out of business. He would not want to have that happen. Humala is an example to consider: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ollanta_Humala "After the news of the election of Ollanta as president the Lima Stock Exchange experienced its largest drop ever,[37][38][39] though it later stabilised following the announcement of Humala's cabinet appointees, who were judged to be moderate and in line with continuity."

Johnhemming Thanks for posting. I'd be surprised if this came from anyone at Petrotal officially. Interesting thoughts thought. Peru is not like the UK, although maybe election promises are not so much different from the eventual reality post-election.

Keen to hear news/views on Peru and thoughts on "likelihood" on outcome of June vote. This is material to the value of this share. Please continue.

Exactly. “Disruptors221; are usually new accounts or have a track record of “helping investors” across multiple shares with negative news or views, having never posted positive news. I don’t feel that is a fair description of John and as such am happy to hear what he has to say

John No need to stop posting, all holders including myself are hoping for positive price action and endeavor to understand why the price is going down. The more factual information we have the better and as buffy says "there is always something to be concerned about."

I’m invested and may well top up as well if this goes to single figures. We had a panic when the pipeline closed due to Covid-19, and the resultant OP had an impact on the accruing true-up payments clearly spooking people, as well as the civil unrest. Some sold out. There’s always something to be concerned about. It’s not just the market in general that climbs a ‘wall of worry’! Buffy

Buffy Thanks. Agree that a lot can happen before early June. I'm still doing my DD here - not quite invested yet although the prospects look inviting and risk/reward balance is almost there.

I appreciate news as well, but such a large number of posts in two to three days was a bit much considering nothing will happen for weeks. I wondered if there was an agenda and only commented on it after someone else did. He has now chosen to stop the bombardment, here at least. I doubt it will affect the share price one way or the other as it happens, whatever his intentions were. Buffy

Johnhemming I for one appreciate your comments and hope you continue. It is always good to hear all views. It's then up to readers to decide what value to attach to them. There are posters with a range of agendas and if a PI isn't savvy enough to interpret what they read they won't be investing for long.

It made them no money John, and they couldn’t convert posters/readers into revenue, with the vast majority being uninterested in their ‘products̵7;. The USA site stayed open due to better marketing. Buffy

I have now stopped commenting on the situation in Peru because I have been requested to. However, I have explained how I see the situation. I expect the share price for Petrotal to go down and do not intend selling shares although if it gets low enough I am likely to average down. I have put in some contingent purchase orders so I don't have to keep an eye on the markets all the time. I have posted more frequently about Peru because of the rapidly developing situation. However, if people don't want me to I won't. I have found some postings on ADVFN particularly helpful and am inclined to share information that I have that are relevant to stocks whether that be positive for the stock or negative. I did post a lot on TMF and I think they made a mistake in closing the forums there as they had quite a well informed group of investors. Still such is life.

“ you will see I have been posting on ADVFN for more than 10 years. Your first post was on 05 Jan 2007 - 19:11:58. Mine was 03 Jan 2002 - 22:11:00” This doesn’t really address the issue raised in my comments though, does it? Aside from that, I fail to see why how long we have been posting is of any relevance unless we had only started recently. I have been posting on TMF, the Motley Fool, since 2001 I think it was. ADVFN was a comic for Oil & Gas E&P company investors in those days, and has only improved (but still well below the level of the Oil company board on TMF) because TMF in its UK form no longer exists. Your move... Buffy

I am quite happy with democracy. I see three votes here "valhamos", "buffy" and "doughcyclone" that would like me to stop commenting on the situation in Peru. If more than three people ask me to continue I will otherwise I will stop.

>Sorry but you can’t possibly, with a straight face, claim that your speculations about whole right wings parties suddenly voting far-left, to be news. The newspaper report is from 13th April 2021. I think that is pretty recent and has to be considered "news". >You must admit John, that to a neutral observer who suddenly sees a plethora and >ongoing barrage of posts from you across ADVFN and LSE, It is as you probably know possible to see all the posts from an individual. Hence if you have looked at this you will see I have been posting on ADVFN for more than 10 years. Your first post was on 05 Jan 2007 - 19:11:58. Mine was 03 Jan 2002 - 22:11:00 >The question is, are you short and looking to reverse it when it hits a certain >level, or are you just waiting for that level to top up? I do not personally get involved in ramping and de ramping. I am in fact holding Petrotal with an average price of around 16p. I am expecting the price to drop further following which I will average down. Sometimes news is not good news, but bad news. I really don't think it helps other investors to keep bad news to myself. As I said if you don't like my factual information put me on a filter. I won't be upset.

You must admit John, that to a neutral observer who suddenly sees a plethora and ongoing barrage of posts from you across ADVFN and LSE, it certainly looks like you have an agenda, rather than just ‘keeping us informed’. The question is, are you short and looking to reverse it when it hits a certain level, or are you just waiting for that level to top up? You’ve said plenty, why keep posting? Buffy
