25p appears to be a tough nut to crack. I imagine the share price will break 25p this week

It is all sorted. Knowing the old gang's modus operandi I wouldn't be surprised if there was a backhander somewhere. I notice that the capital markets day has changed from October to Autumn, suppose it gives more of a chance that gold will have an eighteen handle on it when they do hold it.

re roberts comment that ugc say stocken is linked to Everest and irc value. I would be amazed if Stocken was not linked to someone we have heard of !!. irc shares may have fallen but I still think we should keep our 31 % . Convenient that after UGC spoke up tried to stop it, the pog directors decided no bondholders consent required, which I find erroneous.
After dolts rejected Den Andropov, who is on the great board ? Mainly Mayfair chums of Hambro I think . they are surely the majority, awfully satisfact old boy. Not sure about Cameron`s history; does anyone know if he is independent, has credentials ?
Irc fell as iron ore fell. but due to Chinese govt forcing reduction in steelmaking to keep the skies clear for winter olympics coming soon. They should have chosen Glencoe instead.

Do you invest in Gold or a non regulated Crypto that can be taken away from you in a flash, with no protection?

The Chinese have decided!

Gold consolidating above $1800 would help.

Yes indeed although I feel with 24p being a tough resistance
we might retest a little lower before eventually breaking
above.

Like most people they are winging it from time to time. 80%, which is $100m, have to be converted for a redemption notice to be issued, we are at $38m left with $87m converted. The company can actually elect to pay the cash value in lieu of delivering the Ordinary Shares following the exercise of the Conversion Right, so if the finances and management agree we can avoid further dilution.

Thanks for the explanation Robert - I will have to think some more about this, as Polygon (aka TFG) are incredibly experienced at this sort of thing, and that fund specialises in these special sits, so they will have scenario'd every possibility. I can't believe they would put themselves in a situation where they might have naked exposure to the stock.

srpactive - we were talking about polygon rather than polymetal in relation to POG shorts.

We are currently in the final stage of the operational review my team and I began earlier in the year - the drafting of a new strategy and development plan for the Company that will help us realise the value of assets like Albyn and Elginskoye, support future production, and deliver improved returns to shareholders. I look forward to presenting this plan to stakeholders at our upcoming Capital Markets Day this autumn.

But if the company buys back the convert, we are very close to the level converted that triggers the company's right to buy back the rest, they will then have to go in to the market to buy back an awful lot of shares. We saw the price spike last summer when one of the institutions called back the shares they had loaned out what can happen. It depends who owns the convert now, if polygon owns less than the level at which the buy back option is triggered, they should be very concerned others will see a dividend paying equity as preferable to the bond and duly act.

Don't we need to disregard the polygon short as it is offset by long convertibles?

Also, I don't understand the technical point you make, Robert, about how polygon could get caught out. If it owns precisely the right amount of the convertible and holds out for conversion, then surely it's hedged? It isn't short to be short, just to play the Arb.
