22/10/2020 08:33 | Gold looking to break out of the descending bullish wedge, GDX looks ready to rock. I find posters who use emotional language and terms like 'Ural gang' and pogroms interesting, why the emotional investment? By the way Highland Gold was listed on the AIM and was registered in the Channel Islands with a group holding a controlling stake, claiming the delisting of HGM.l could be replicated here is utter nonsense, and demonstrably hasn't happened, quite the opposite. Whatever roadblocks the transformation must continue, management must look after the shareholders. | robertstronghand
22/10/2020 08:32 | Yes crucially Meshchelnikov does not exercise his legal right to enter his offices with police in attendance (that would make sense to me). Why if it was his legal right to enter did he not enter with the police? Instead he turns up with his hired heavy mob. The video shows no police in attendance at that point. It is the employees (clearly terrified) that call the police who then eject Meshchelnikov and his "Ural athlete" chums. And now criminal charges. You could not make it up.. 2 things drive share prices. Results and sentiment. Management is responsible for both. Management have created a cess-pool of negative sentiment here. It is my contention that this is deliberate | undervaluedassets
22/10/2020 08:32 | MidasX. Pathetic. | stevea171
22/10/2020 08:30 | Troy. Exactly. Meshcheriakov is facing serious criminal charges carrying on conviction years in prison. The evidence is indisputable. Cameron and this BoD's are lying their heads off. Who would want to be invested in a company run by cowboys with the acting CEO in court and the major shareholder, Strukov indicted for tax evasion of 60 billion roubles. Both of whom may soon be in handcuffs before being put away for lengthy sentences .... | stevea171

22/10/2020 08:12 | Best thing would be for POG to be suspended pending enquiries. | nashwan123
22/10/2020 07:55 | More damned lies from this management of POG. The videos show no police in attendance with Meshchelnikov and the Ural gang outside the Moscow office with POG security. As the videos show, they forced their way into the building and then set about intimidating and threatening staff. Police then attended and went off whence Meshchelnikov, Strukov's son and others set about damaging the computer room and wrecking offices staying over night before the police attended again the next morning and threw them out. All on video with evidence that can be presented to the court. POG directors and this management are a complete disgrace. | stevea171
22/10/2020 07:42 | There are always two sides to a story. | midasx
22/10/2020 07:40 | That lack of co-operation included preventing Mr Meshcheryakov obtaining access to the Group's office in Moscow while he was attempting, with the full support of the Petropavlovsk Board, to safeguard the Group's assets and information. | midasx
22/10/2020 07:39 | The Company understands that this investigation relates to the events of 26 - 27 August 2020, when Mr Meshcheryakov was denied access to the Company's office in Moscow, which he then entered in the presence of Moscow police, who he called to attend | midasx
22/10/2020 07:33 | rns Petropavlovsk has been made aware that the Investigative Committee of Russia for the City of Moscow (the "Committee") has initiated an investigation into events involving Petropavlovsk's Interim CEO, Mr Maksim Meshcheryakov. The Company understands that this investigation relates to the events of 26 - 27 August 2020, when Mr Meshcheryakov was denied access to the Company's office in Moscow, which he then entered in the presence of Moscow police, who he called to attend. The Company understands that the investigation into Mr Meshcheryakov's actions relates to a crime under article 330 of the Russian criminal code called 'Arbitrariness'. According to legal advice received by the Company, the crime of Arbitrariness has a very broad definition, and may include actions that are commissioned to protect lawful rights or interests. As noted in the Company's announcement of 28 August 2020, Mr Meshcheryakov's has encountered a lack of co-operation from some employees and ex-employees in certain of the Russian subsidiaries as he works to implement a robust and transparent controls framework across Petropavlovsk and its subsidiaries (the "Group"). That lack of co-operation included preventing Mr Meshcheryakov obtaining access to the Group's office in Moscow while he was attempting, with the full support of the Petropavlovsk Board, to safeguard the Group's assets and information. The Company will, of course, fully cooperate with the Committee in its investigation. | popeye888

21/10/2020 18:55 | According to rusmonitor news site..... The Federal Antimonopoly Service appears to be investigating the "legality" of the share deal between Trotsenko and Strukov....... Don't shoot the messenger !! 21.10.2020 FAS is checking the legality of the transaction on the acquisition by the Yuzhuralzoloto group of billionaire Konstantin Strukov of a stake in the share capital of the Petropavlovsk holding. The deal took place last February, the share was purchased from the structures of Roman Trotsenko, and today UGK is the main shareholder of the holding. The check is connected with an intracorporate conflict that occurred in June, when the team of its founder Pavel Maslovsky was removed from the management of Petropavlovsk. According to the security officials, this became possible as a result of Strukov's conspiracy with businessman Vladislav Sviblov, who soon sold most of his stake in the holding. This was followed by the seizure of the Moscow office of the Pokrovsky Rudnik company (part of the Petropavlovsk structure), which was headed by Strukov's protege Maxim Meshcheryakov. At the end of September, Sviblov bought back 40.06% of the shares of Highland Gold from Roman Abramovich and his partners for $ 574 million. The opinion was voiced that the deal could have been made with the aim of the subsequent resale of the stake and a repetition of the scenario with the seizure of Petropavlovsk. Shortly before the start of the FAS audit, as part of the bankruptcy case in the Kemerovo Region, at the request of the tax authorities, the property and accounts of Konstantin Strukov himself and his daughter Yevgenia Kuznetsova were seized for a total of 1.5 billion rubles. Claims to the oligarch from the Federal Tax Service also arise in connection with the bankruptcy of the Chelyabinsk Coal Company, where the question of attempts to alienate someone else's property is raised in the framework of the proceedings with Shakhta im. Dzerzhinsky ".To top it all off, the investigating authorities have recently opened a criminal case on illegal storage and sale of precious metals against the managing director of the Drazhny Priisk, which is part of the YuGK structure -writes Ruspress. In turn, the Telegram channel "Russian Press" reports that Konstantin Strukov is known not only for being the main sponsor of United Russia in the South Urals, but also for expanding his empire, sending tough guys with bats to organize pogroms right in the center of Moscow. So, in August 2020, in the style of the "dashing 90s", militants destroyed the office of Pokrovsky Rudnik from the Petropavlovsk holding). Apparently, Mr. Strukov is not the first time to resolve issues in the spirit of the dashing 90s. He even went through a criminal case. So it turned out that on February 7, 2006, the environmental prosecutor's office of the city of Plast, Chelyabinsk Region, opened a criminal case No. 550060, according to which they requested operational information regarding Konstantin Strukov (request No. 373 of 03/02/2006). On what issue a criminal case was initiated and why it was closed, we are now finding out. But, since it was initiated by the environmental prosecutor's office, we are clearly talking about the Yuzhuralzoloto group of companies by the oligarch Strukov. Well, how else can you make billions in Russia without destroying the environment and not giving bribes to close criminal cases? However, this is a rhetorical question. | troy
21/10/2020 15:11 | Yup I am expecting the results due latter half Oct (based on the 23/07/2020 production update)to be sound. Such a long time ago now due to the results delay that everyone has forgotten that they were decent numbers in that update. | weemonkey
21/10/2020 14:16 | Added a few more today. Still looking at production of near 600koz. With growth clearly marked for 2021. With gold at 1900+ it's still a powerful cash generator. Governance is an issue I accept. So a gamble .. Roch | rochdae
21/10/2020 11:17 | Back into a downtrend. Had a huge rise from around 5pNow massive governance issues and covid is likely to add to further production woes. | j777j
21/10/2020 08:59 | 23/07/2020 production update was sound ... I think everyone has forgotten that. | weemonkey
21/10/2020 02:58 | UVA. Keep that coin in your pocket, don't even think about tossing it.The control of the Company seems to firmly in the hands (and legs) of the "Ural athletes " with complete disregard for the BOD, FCA,et al inGrosvenor square.Dissaray may be an understatement!!! | route1
20/10/2020 14:24 | If the results are super exceptional I will be back in ... (maybe) But as things stand with the corporate governance chaos that we are witnessing in Russia this share is a coin toss and a 'weighted in investors' disfavour' coin toss at that. | undervaluedassets
20/10/2020 14:20 | Jeepers MIdas in the post I quoted to you I even apologise to you ... You never apologise for misinformation ever. You are a relentless "bull case only" ramper who never reports anything bad about this share ever. With the greatest respect there is a bull case and bear case with every stock - that is what constitutes a balanced view and makes for rational debate. | undervaluedassets |
