Next week, a deal may come.
Petroneft has announced that it is negotiating with a financier and a message will come if they repay the loan from Petrogrand.
Then the price can be over 0.6 already next week

Is it unusual to see such a large premium on the conversion price?I assume our lenders see a very good chance of the share price being well over 6p this year?

Not many sellers left at around this level, now to attract more buyers to continue this rerate. we should move onto 6p by the end of the month imo.

Cannot particularly disagree with any of your comments on risk jfreshfield.
It only needs one small piece of not so good news for this to drop back. Lets hope all of the newsflow is positive and we can continue the upwards movement.
I'll certainly hang about for 5p and then see.

Thanks for the "ev" info, Freshfield.

Also, that's a fair post above regarding the pros and cons. Investing is always a gamble but this does look good overall.

jfreshfield, thanks for that. Really highlights the undervaluation.

Wessie - you could argue it already is at a massive discount at 1/2P valued at $500m and 3P at $1bn. For me it's all about L67 drill this year which will take us from 6p to 12p

As much as I would like to see 10p I think to see this in the near future is to optimistic. I would just be grateful for the current run to continue and maybe get out with a couple of K profit. At least this would make the last 12 years worthwhile!! Just glad I bought a large chunk at 0.005 to bring my average down to today's price. I think the 'Russian' aspect will hold it back from a more correct valuation.

Taken out for 5 pounds The money went into QED a property estates company at 58p and 3 months later QED were over 2 pounds. It set me on my way

Enterprise value over 2P reserves - table here which shows our undervaluation on this metric https://twitter.com/oilgastracker/status/1477942814596026369?s=21

What is "ev/2p"?

The ev/2p ratio seems incredibly low for PTR. Does anyone have ev/2p ratio analysis from other similar companies?

I 'm an 8 year veteran but consider myself lucky as I got in after the big drops. Still though, my average was higher than today. I averaged down which was something I'd never done before and now my breakeven is 2.26p.

I had only started and had done very well out of the ups and downs of AIB so, like Chris, thought I was a genius at stocks and shares. I noticed CGNR had gone from £11.11p to 2p and believed the rampers on the board when they said it couldn't go any lower. I bought a rake of them and am currently down 86% on them (only because they are on a spike!). I'm usually down around 95%.

Only for a decent bit of success with Tullow Oil early last year (bought at 25p and sold at 52p) I would not have been able to average down on PTR so grateful for that.

So, swings and roundabouts for me but I'm really enjoying PTR right now.

You have waited this long I would hold out for at least 10p, its only now getting noticed that the recent valuation is way off market cap and with the winter season programme I see no reason to sell before L67 drilling in Q2.

Hells bells!!!! I'm now in profit (£348.00) having held for the last 12 years. Lots of averaging down but with these being my single largest holding I have the dilemma of when to sell, the £20k+ of cash would be useful elsewhere. If it can manage 5p the temptation to sell would be great.

This was my small punt.
The story was very good until it wasn't.
I've averaged down over the years, so it's a big punt now.

Hi I was also in Imperial was it IEC it was Peter Levine I believe I made decent profits I remember them being bought out but cannot remember for how much was it around 18 gbp. Even further back I got lucky with Sibir energy buying at 130p and getting taken out at 5 gbp

Basem1 - It was a funny time for me, I had only just started to trade/invest and I only bought here because I got very lucky with Imperial who had the adjacent fields. I just rode the ups and downs with imperial and it worked out well so I thought I'd do the same with PTR. Classic first time investor getting lucky and thinking I was a genius. Initial investment wasn't much but when it rode up to 72p It had obviously grown a bit, I even averaged down several times on the drops. Previous management were utterly shocking, building massive treatment plants and pipelines before they realised they couldn't get the oil out of the ground in decent enough quantities. Still I guess that infrastructure is now one of our strengths.

4.57p paid just now.

Best bid/ask on show = 4.5p v 4.6p, as I type.

It looks as though interest in PTR's future is building up well.

Blimey guys do you not use stop losses. I remember buying 70,000 shares at 31p here and riding them upto the mid 50's I was all in at the time and the profits made a big difference to my portfolio and how I was able to trade after that. My motto is as soon as a stock feels uncomfortable then sell whether your in profit or not
