RavThe volume of shares traded in this last week is so low as to be described as miniscule.I agree the shares now seem tightly held with a standoff in place between the BOD and Natlata & Co.Let's see who makes the first move.A few buys by our old BOD would be a start - after the next RNS of course.VGLTA

Sean you are living on planet earth. Currently imo based on holding rns and website, there are two holders near 30%, directors at best hold c.5%, Davy hold c.9%, Ceres environ c.4%...let's say 20-25% in public hands/institutions. No one looks willing to sell. Natlata and overseas look like they want some level of power. Large institutional buyer would have bought bumy now if it was a bargain.

After the volume of shares traded this week it seems nobody has any time for PTR.Let's hope now the Summer break is over we will see someone taking a bit of interest.VGLTA

Let's see if PTR gets an adrenaline 'main-line' hit, from the improved News, which is around.mirror needed, I fear.

DannyBB are just a place for anyone to comment and real info is rarely found on them.I have been in this share for a long time and hold a decent few.The more active BOD members do read BBs and that might make some small addition to their skills and knowledge base. PTRs BOD has for too long held out the promises of jam tomorrow and skips over their past errors. The way they release news is opaque to say the least.I am still holding my shares in the hope of Natlata making a move on the PTR holdings they do not control. The BOD know well that most of their investors would be happy to get out for a premium to the last 5p equity raising. The next news on how T502 could be a help to the BOD (and hopefully the SP) if it flows well. I fear though is that we get an RNS saying T502 flows @ 500 bopd but the total production is up only 200 bopd - with no details or explanations being given.VGLTA

Danny,

Fair point, but I believe a few have been here for a while, the bod just don't help themselves. Good news is not always good news for the ptr share price Prime example, Oil rebound by 10% yesterday...not a even a tiny move up...yet when oil slips 1% this will down down by 5%+.

Investors are only requesting something very simple. stop the unclear RNS's. Everyone is guessing on what, which, how, why about wells' production levels. This should not be the case. In each RNS provide a table of all the wells production levels, simple. Bod need to fix up.

Well 1 production average for month xbopd

Well 2....

Secondly are you looking to invest or just posting comments?

Kev - nice to see someone invested who is looking at the positive view. Really do not understand why people 'supposedly' invest and yet post nothing but negative comments! Some posters should just write ditto, would save them writing exactly the same thing every single day! Personally, if I was actually invested and that disgruntled, I would have cashed out long since! Each to their own I guess.

Just looking at some positive news around tonight. Possible peace plan in Ukraine, PoO jumped 6% today, markets react very positively to improved US economic data and so on. I wonder will any of it matter to Ptrs sp? We can only hope!

Let's put it this way, if anyone here did or is holding 25+% let say for example...wouldn't you like to be on the board to oversee decision...I would. I wouldn't even stand for these unclear rns, would prefer some insight into decision making etc. Yet to get a Oil view on any of these matters since the farmout so can't assume too many things really. Sean the next well result and the evidence that last horizontal well is very important.

Will be interesting to see how the AGM turns out if Natlata try to put two mates on the board.
Might be even more interesting how things go if T502 actually comes in good before the meeting of course..

MMs provide an orderly market place, and play a vital role. They often get the blame when the price is falling, and never get mentioned when its rising. This share is sold with DMA, and as such can be traded without MMs. This is the SETS platform, Unlike SEAQ the AQS ( auto quote system ) used by brokers, when making trades via MMs. PTR is on both platforms, along with the ISDX that brokers use to buy through also. PTR is on three platforms and is also traded in Dublin on the ISEQ. This makes Market Maker manipulation very difficult on a share like this.

Correct me if i am wrong, mm sets illiquid aim stock price to create liquidity for buyers and sellers. So on level two there must have been a buyer or seller putting in a order. Nothing was traded today hence it was mm moving price. Anyone else?

one day..How does - the price fall, when there are seemingly - NO trades? It's almost, as if, the whole process, is based on - complete & utter boll@cks........That's my learned assessment, anyhow.

I'm continuing to hold but not adding at the mo. DGO funds are going elsewhere where there is some action to keep my interest. 1 more year and will have held PTR for a decade and not sold a single share, I still have the faith. One day Rodders...........

Apologies it should have read 'part sell-off' (Auto correct!) I understand your general view and reasoning. And welcome and appreciate the feedback if you genuinely did so but on these threads it's not easy trusting views of the general public when you can come across pure traders spouting garbage, but trust your views in general. The only line that made me stand up was the very last couple of lines about timing. Gl with all investments/business

Well it is really very quiet today with no trades going through.

If T502 result comes out this week it seems like good or bad we drift down.

Sorry to see a few stalwarts ( Granto) leaving the ship but cannot blame anyone for losing patience with this share.

ah Ravin you suspicions are unfounded, I told you I sold a percentage of my shares in ALL companies I am invested in. The answers I received here were adequate and reassuring. They didn't blow me away, or scare me away either. as for 'evidence'. Well, I am not on trial here, and producing 'evidence' would require me quoting the company on exactly what was discussed, or revealing other things that I already agreed at the company's request not to do. we also agreed that I could disclose that I was in discussions and I had permission to reveal things discussed in a general sense here. I did that to 'share' with the community here. That is what we do. The company PTR are aware of who I am in the real world and as such I gather they trusted me and discussed everything in an open and professional way. You can contact them too and ask the same questions.I hope the other posters here understand and appreciate it. I am happy to share any knowledge here as others have done with me whenI first bought in.

Granto what was the reason behind asking the BoD all those questions, 'during your sell-off', besides clarify a few details, with lack of any evidence for SH as it was a phone call? It seem all very unusual.

This share is impossible for MMs to manipulate,

Odd.

Anyways, as i said earlier can see this around 4p- 4.15p...won't be surprised to see it being mopped up by a large player. It's a shame as it is clear MMs moving this as currently there is hardly any volume to explain the drip feed drop.

Unless anyone can see orders on L2

can see a gap in the chart, so wont be too long until that is filled. Another trade available I guess.

Imo, Gla

Ravin, I only stepped out, and went to cash, no major losses here at all. My own personal companies are going through choppy waters, solid but choppy all the same. considering that I was way too exposed to equities in general. I have averaged about 20% solid for three years, and built a nice nest egg. elsewhere in my family the traditional business are suffering, so it was time to safely park funds until this settles. I also have property investments that will soon require cash injections. I am still invested here and it takes up too much a weighting on my portfolio, so selling was not a reflection on the company per-se. I am approaching retirement time in a few years, I really cannot afford to mess things up. PTR is not a golden goose, it has lots going for it as I have highlighted here, It does however, still have to develop SIB and there will be heavy CAPEX. It is all doable, but there will be lots of time to rebut back in here. I am very familiar with this company so I am in a good position to gauge the timing. Hope that helps, my rating here is a steady HOLD….DYOR and all the best.

Granto slightly baffled by your decision, seeing that you took all that effort to speak to bod. In hope your losses were not too large.Gl
