Steel, cheers for the heads up, but I have already done that earlier in the year and used my full allowance.

spudders - if you haven't used your ISA allowance up, bed and ISA a few at least before year end maybe? Not affected by 30 day rule and your broker should be able to effect the simultaneous trades well within the spread. Sell counts as a loss for CGT. (edit: assuming you are UK domiciled)

surfer, not sure about that trade as I hold a few M and that would cause a stir on the daily volume. Some days it hard enough to sell a couple of K. Things change quickly these days, I'll wait a bit, not going to be hasty.

If you want to book a loss for Cgt then but are reluctant to sell then why not buy the same amount of shares first at these lower prices and sell your original holding a day or 2 later. But if you sell first you must wait 30 days before buying if you want to offset a loss. That's my understanding

sean - as has often been said, it will take production significantly heading north and that is currently the focus now funding is available.

DbAre you saying the low share price is not something the BOD should be concerned with?Your pointing out the mismatch between asset value and Mcap is something they have been failing to rectify for a long while.Time for a change on the bridge!VGLTA

There is only so much patience one can give to a share. I'm considering selling up and booking a loss to set against other winners for cgt reasons. Not the best policy but one that needs serious consideration at this juncture. Much better opportunities elsewhere in other sectors. Good weekend all

We are now market capped at $ 34.7 million.....

Oil India paid $ 57.2 million for 58 million barrels of 2P reserves.
Petroneft have at least 71 million barrels and possibly up to 100 million barrels of 2P reserves between licence 61 and 67.

Going on Just the lower figure we are trading at less than half what Oil India paid. Makes no sense

We are now fully funded for the development of at least Tungolskoye and possibly beyond and we should be able to double production before year end...
Makes less sense........

RavLet's be frank the BOD is basically DF and PD, the former has a fair number of shares the latter a paltry sum.If the CFO will not buy at the current share price why would anyone else.Next time they are srround why not ask the question and listen to any replyVGLTA

Steel, delivery a positive bottom line is paramount for me. I have no emotional attachment to ptr or the bod. It's simple increase production and improve shareholder sentiment, which hopefully prices into the share price. Lack of interest, many external negative factors, not many new investors, and someone selling. Bod did great now in hindsight, though boy were they lucky to have secured that farmout at pre-oil crash. Any further delays from May June, and who knows if oil would have come imo. But what happened has happened, with bad times and good times. Today production is increasing, debt free, and subsidised production for 5 years. But if shareholder sentiment doesn't increase (along with good rns), the share price won't rise, it's simple. Hence why the question is, or own bod don't have many shares or bought at these low levels, doesn't really build confidence...on the whole I'm happy with this return to at least double today's price but that is asking a for an extraordinary rns. I hope this turns out well, but bod must be behind this.

Ravin, sure, some have been saying it daily for years, or so it seems! Delivering results is paramount to sentiment. The rest is flimflam.

'Background chanting', I don't think it is, shareholders have been saying this for years. More like an 'anthem' now that it is well known. Yes of course it is down to the drilling, atm it may mean jack all for the share price as many factors are impacting this stock negatively atm, out of our or managements controls. Build good sentiment for shareholders is another thing. If, I say if they could buy, why would you in their position not buy at these levels? I would if I believe value was there and help my pension pot. Another chunky trade, maybe it's a director lollGla

It seems the BOD are doing the rounds to drum up support for the Company but as many have said puting their hands into their own pockets for a substantial purchaase would show all that they believ in the plans they are currently progressing.

Come on BOD - you know it makes sense.

Ah, the background chanting continues. The only thing that will help the share price significantly is success with the drill bit in the first instance. Let them get on with the job.

sean..... The very best thing that the BOD could be seen to do to support the flagging share price is to start buying shares themselves.. By consistently not doing so it appears to be a total vote of NO confidence in there own ability and that of the Co. COME ON BOD buy a few shares, after all you expect others to do so... GLA

Kev time will tell what their view is or if we continue to get these large trades. Someone is clearly offloading, fact, before steel says brings out the classic line. As for poo, Russia and Greece, I don't think will improve much. Oil second half of the year, but oil will mean revert at new levels. Russia will continue to play games, with it's economy in dire state. Greece will get help, temporarily until next time. I doubt they will be thrown out of the EU, if so that will surprise markets.I asked a simple request on info on pipe line news, not lack of it for once. Impatient, don't think so, long term holder looking for my investment back and more, yes!Gla

The BOD have not covered themselves in glory as the current market cap proves. The total lack of share purchases by them at even the current low share price levels does not help either.Let's hope the next horizontal drill works out well and then hopefully we will see some interest in PTRAt least our BOD are not as greedy and pig headed as those at PCI.Our one co-shared director Wee Tom might be looking a bit sheepish just now though and could help by resigning from PTR.VGLTA
