21/11/2014 15:17 | ravin. Natlatla have agreed to do nothing and they will support the company untill after these drills, thats from Natlatla when I asked them. Seriously thought we would have had at least an update by now, but this is PTR so expect nowt really. | thetoonarmy2
21/11/2014 14:44 | (Noon): China's surprise decision to cut interest rates boosted mining stocks on hopes the move would lift demand for commodities.Among the mining firms, Anglo American rose 5.3%, Rio Tinto climbed 4.6% and BHP Billiton was up 4.5%.The FTSE 100 was up 48.23 points at 6,727.13, also helped by energy shares after oil prices increased.Brent crude neared $81 a barrel after China's rate cut and on hopes that oil cartel Opec will cut production. | rockin robin
21/11/2014 12:26 | Kev The point I was trying to make that with a large shareholder who was trying to take control of the company sitting with such a large percentage it seems to me that it can only pan out in either of the ways I outlined. For Natlata to buy more shares (as they stated) they have the problem of going over holdings which trigger a full bid. I cannot really see them sitting by while the company carries on with its poor communications.Maybe the next RNS will surprise us all and the share price move up so Nat can sell a fair chunk - ah well Santa is coming and will be on time! VGLTA | seangwhite
21/11/2014 09:49 | Sean, when you stated that Natlata 'either have to make a bid or sell and move on', the words 'have to' implied 'pressure' to me. Apologies for misunderstanding you. You went on to refer to Natlata's 'quandary' and that 'making a quick exit is nigh impossible and the other option is a take over'. I linked Korobov's comments where he stated that if the share price drops Natlata will buy more shares to strengthen their voting position. You have suggested two other options leaving out the only option (buying more shares) that we have documented evidence for. Natlata do not 'have to' do anything. Unless the T-5 and Arbuzovskoye results are truly shyte I'd say Natlata will stay in until the current drilling program is finished and then review their position. Whether PIs have the cash and patience to wait that long is another thing. On waiting for the results, it looks to me like PTR might issue an RNS before the Oilbarrel conference simply because its shareholders deserve to hear news (good, bad or indifferent) before a bunch of people at a conference! | kevjones2
21/11/2014 09:28 | as for Natlata, Oil India has been game changer for them, and they seem content to sit back and see how the management perform. | granto2
21/11/2014 09:27 | The Phoenix always has something to contribute. don't always agree with it but it's definitely worth a read. | granto2
21/11/2014 08:59 | The PHOENIX MAG annual share section mentions Ptr briefly in line with a host of other Companies. It states that even though PTR is one of the better performers (up approx' 40% in 2014) on the Irish scene, it is still small beer especially when you take into account just how far it's share price has collapsed over all. It also states that for now there are no financial constraints holding back the Co. and it doesen't see it having to raise any funding in the near future...!!!! Make what you will of that guys. 21/11/2014 06:41 | There is no need to get emotionally attached to bod or investors etc, natlata had their agenda and it didn't work. Of course money talks but it is funny that they keep quiet now... | ravin146
20/11/2014 21:34 | KevI never said I thought Nat were under pressure to buy or sell their shares. My point is that they are now stuck in PTR with no return on their investment in sight in the form of divisAnother buyer is not obvious to the market in the near future.Just thinking of what they might do to show a profit.VGLTA | seangwhite
20/11/2014 18:07 | hxxp://www.independe Not only did he agree to support the company he also stated that if the share price goes lower Natlata will buy more shares to increase their say. Natlata are under zero pressure to make a decision. | kevjones2
20/11/2014 17:56 | Sean, why do Natlata have to either make a bid or sell up? Where did you hear that? The last comment by Korobov was that if Natlata are unsuccessful in their efforts to get persons removed from the board etc they will support all shareholders decisions especially the farm-our. | kevjones2
20/11/2014 15:39 | Just commenting on Nats quandary. With the position they have making a quick exit is nigh impossible and the other option is a take over.I would of thought funding the latter would not be easy for a Russian company at present.VGLTA | seangwhite
20/11/2014 13:58 | sean - does he have the wherewithal to make a bid, or are you saying he's shot his bolt? | steelwatch
20/11/2014 13:44 | Steel Natlata have no 'nice profit' until they sell up. At that time I suspect selling a shareholding the size of Nats in a small E&P would have to be at a very heavy discount to the cureent 6p.This scenario would probably leave Nat with a loss (but obviously no tax to pay). Lets hope eventually that someone sees something worth bidding for here as for any long time shareholder its been a long and hard road following this BOD has taken them down. VGLTA | seangwhite
20/11/2014 12:06 | sean - Mr Korobov may not have to do anything for the time being. He is sitting at a nice profit already and may just go with the flow rather than sell and face a hefty tax bill. As to making a bid, he would no longer gain control of the licence which it seems to me was the original intention when he tried to unseat the board and scupper the farm out. | steelwatch
20/11/2014 11:42 | There seems to be a bit of M&A activity starting in the E7P sector with prices on the floor Lets see how we all react when Natlata decide to act as they are in a positon where they will either have to make a bid or sell up and move on. VGLTA | seangwhite
20/11/2014 11:03 | Crikey, sounds like a useful chap to know. Could you ask him what PTR share price will be at end of March 2015. That would be very helpful. | woodpecker25
20/11/2014 10:31 | Really ? I remember talking the CEO of a stock brokerage based in Lomdon a few years back, Bank Of Ireland had fallen from €20 to €7 and I asked were they value. He replied that they would be worth €2 with 12 months, I was shook to my foundations. Turns out he was right. I asked him six months ago about the same share, he replied' none of us really know to be truthful but its worth 30c in my calculation , I bought there and then at 26…..today 29, he was right again…Now as for this little gem….hopefully a slow grind up for several years. | granto2
20/11/2014 10:07 | Research has clearly shown that anyone trying to predict the future movement of financial products is no better than a random number generator. | rcturner2
20/11/2014 09:56 | I predict the share price will go up if the next RNS is positive, but will go down if the next RNS is negative. | woodpecker25
20/11/2014 09:42 | thats my call…but this is AIM and this is Oil….so treat very carefully | granto2
20/11/2014 09:42 | steelwatch… | granto2
19/11/2014 18:41 | ravin - Db may wish to answer that, but I neither make predictions, nor reveal the contents of my wallet to strangers on-line. Make of that what you will! | steelwatch
19/11/2014 18:39 | Well at least one Irish E&P managed to get an RNS out today with news.Let's see how our BOD craft the next newsflow which I expect before 2/12.Still hoping for 7+p at year end.VGLTA | seangwhite
19/11/2014 18:02 | I stand by 7p by end of year. Anyone else? Dbarron what your prediction? | ravin146 |
