dozydave... Such an appropriate name for a fekin idiot who thinks wasting his life away spamming in this way is likely to prove fruitful in any way.... and I know a little about these things, having run my own 'boiler house' telephone marketing operations in my time... which were honest and legit, I will quickly add! :)

Anyhow... idiots aside... hope everyone is keeping cheery and safe and well. Let's see what next week brings... hopefully no Divi cancellation! :(

No one knows if the divi will be held or not. The one thing in its favour is the large family holding in the company and they may need the cash, OTOH they may take the view cash in the company will ensure its survival if things get a lot worse. Its a bet.
I dont need the cash so am sitting on this share it will, hopefully, recover at one point when all the contracts on hold just now get released when the oil price recovers, when that is who knows but we are not at the bottom of the oil price yet as far as I can see.

Dozydave. We have CV and spend your life with parasitic action?
I don't know how do you look yourself in the mirror.

I brought this share in Feb on the basis of the div I a, mow very worried that this will be cancelled and if that were to happen the share would fall even further. so not sure if I should take the loss now. As the family hold a lot and I assume they need cash we could be ok but on other hand they may not

as you all know quite a few companies have cancelled div across a number of sectors and views on this

as if div holds I happy to hold share as in next few yrs could do well

Its a bad news day out there. US jobless figures smash previous ones for all time, not going to be much oil consumption over there for a while :0(

not sure to be honest. Why offshore only?

Hi Pogue and others,

what is the percentage of Petrofac's revenues which come from offshore?

Thank you

Other than probably Shell and BP I’m not convinced either pogue and I certainly wouldn’t buy on the assumption it will be paid.

I am now not convinced the divi is safe a lot of companies deciding not to pay divis and keep cash for emergencies.

I agree this will go back up but expect another drop back first. FTSE futures down 77 for this morning and US expected to follow prior to the jobless figures coming out which are expected to be horrendous, topping 4m! Patience is a virtue.

Wolf.. I'm not sure the defence's case has concluded yet... but it does seem like all the evidence has been heard. So summing up by both still to come then the Judge's summation.

I reckon D1nga's take though is about right! :)

Cheers cyber

If the jury's typical of the population 25% will be too dense to follow what's happened thus far and will have made their mind up on how the defendants look. 25% will have forgotten what the case was about by the time it resumes.
Hopefully some of the 12 will have took a bung to give us what we need.

Seriously though its all going to swing on the judges directions on summing up, let's hope the defence team pull it off.

I reckon aquitals all round. Fwiw

Wolf and D1nga... I can confirm the trial of the three Unaoil executives accused of making corrupt payments to win oil contracts in Iraq was suspended last week amid concerns about the coronavirus pandemic. The trial was adjourned until 31/03.

All court cases are on hold unless urgent cases while the judiciary look for ways to protect the jury, so it'll be adjourned for the forseable
