Back under the weekly 10dma although Friday not over yet.

Last weeks bounce back above looked a bit shaky as there was not much supportive volume.
I would say there's a good chance of hitting the weekly 50dma before this is over.

Notimp!

Not very impressive with this tired old cliché -

can anyone detect the smell of shorts burning in hell

The shorts are smart in as such they'll lower their stops when the price begins to fall . No burning just perhaps a bit less profit. If I feel sorry for them it's because some may have waited until the share price hit the weekly 200dma which never happened.

Drop seems a bit harsh today compared to others in the sector!

DINGA,I thought most Stock Brokers traded through DMA ( Direct Market Access ).
They pay a one of fee a year £1.7K /1.8K or there about. They have no trading fees or any spread fees to pay. Last time I checked DMA anyone can set it up if they can show they have over £250K in cash in their bank account.

There was 1 share bought at 16.29 on Friday.
I have never got to the bottom of the 1 share buy! RNS lodged? Signal from a MM to another MM? It is a code, but what? Anyone know the answer?? Perhaps a retired MM could answer the question? Cloak and dagger stuff for sure.

Price of oil?? Well everyone is guessing that. Some say it could go over $100.
Others say it could fall further. Who to believe?? So much for the experts!!
I think PFC will keep marching on. There is going to be a scramble tomorrow morning to get in below £6. I am not selling before £7 and above.
I would love to see the Shorts burning. They distort the price.
O/T.

Apologies in advance re O/T.

I've sold some at just under 596p there. My first sale since 1st December, an actual (small) profit for the first time on my average purchase price, and the last of the ones I bought under 450p.

Still holding enough bought at prices up to £14.41 to have a reasonable chance of breaking even overall if the price continues to recover. Plenty of ammunition now to justify further purchases if the price falls back.

If you look at the 10 year chart, the share price graph pattern was very similar to todays. The share price then went on to reach £10 in 6 months (sorry can't figure out how to post my share graph!). Not saying that is going to happen of course, but! Reasons why I like this are:

1) Yield of 5% and IMO likely to increase
2) £605M net debt and falling
3) Balance sheet is solid - no large intangible assets
4) Bidding pipeline is substantial
5) SFO investigation now 1 yr old with no prosecutions yet, so may be relief rally
6) With strengths in middle east and asia, must be a take over target IMO
7) no stamp duty on purchase
