Re-posting again. Please respond on this board or send me a private message. Ta. Straw Poll It would be interesting to get an idea of how Petrel shareholders are feeling about things right now,  just 3 weeks before the AGM. So, just post "1c, 2a, 3a" or whatever. Quick and easy! 1. Do you feel it is time to give someone else a chance at running our company? a. No, things are fine as they are b. Yes, changes are long overdue c. Don't really care 2. Do you feel we have more chance to recoup our losses with Roger Tamraz or Horgan & Teeling? a. Roger Tamraz b. Horgan and Teeling 3. If you were asked to vote on an instruction to the board to accept the Russian licences (potential 9.1 billion barrels oil/gas in place), how would you vote? a. Yes. I want the Board to proceed with this deal b. No. I do not want the  Board to accept the Russian licences

This has nothing to do with Teeling's reputation but the Board's ability to get a deal over the line. Teeling's reputation or ability will not save my investment. That's why we need a new Board. If a deal in on the table now then we should take it so we can move on.

F31, a number of us have been making those points for years (over 12 in my case). Reliable facts are hard to come by for RT, which in its own right is not a good sign. There has to be a risk that if RT 'acquires' PET that it will be difficult to sustain a listing. The primary question is why have Horgan and Teeling put PET in this position, but then you are back to my first para. The company is in a difficult place - you read RT's comments on PET's assets. It is in effect a shell company with tax losses. Not sure about Irish tax law but it should hold some value. The listing also holds some value. Not a lot of good news, but it is pointless jumping out of the frying pan into the fire. TD

What comes around goes around.... Its suddenly in vogue on the La La thread , to repeat all the same concerns there , that we have been telling them about here for 20 years or so. Has the present board achieved anything over that time ? Has it all been empty jam tomorrow promises? Will it ever change ? etc. They have spent years telling us we are wrong and to keep the faith.... Now they are at last realising we were correct all along - BUT they now take issue with our reading of the CP ? ! Having finally realised we were right all along and their losses could have been avoided, they want to start it all over again ! Some of us have our eyes open and have inquiring minds. We try to help them , but they don't listen.

Elmfield, When you say: "He has as far as I am concerned promised much and achieved nothing for us" Did it ever cross your mind that you could be talking about John or David here ?? Promised much - achieved nothing for us ?? Talking about that - here is Petrel's Corporate Governance point #7: 7. Evaluate board performance based on clear and relevant objectives, seeking continuous improvement Review of the Company’s progress against the long term strategy and aims of the business provides a means to measure the effectiveness of the Board. This progress is reviewed in Board meetings held at least four times a year. The Board meets regularly throughout the year. The Board is responsible for formulating, reviewing and approving the Group’s strategy, financial activities and operating performance. The Managing Director performance is reviewed once a year by the rest of the Board and measured against a definitive list of short, medium and long-term strategic targets set by the Board. Almost a quarter of a century !!

Jungle-Jim - I really am not sure what you are indicating on my above bullet points. They are indeed taken from the Netoil Inc site. You are aware I take it that Netoil Inc is a private company, owned by Roger Tamraz? The introduction slide: Netoil Inc., a diversified private group of companies operating in trade and investment ventures worldwide with particular emphasis in the fields of energy (mainly oil & gas) and finance (mainly banking), has been in business internationally since the 1960s. Since then, Netoil has been creating, structuring and implementing major international projects in the fields of oil and gas, pipelines, petrochemicals, oil refining and distribution, mining, banking, hotels, real estate, airlines, airport, agriculture, electronics, media and communications. Personally I wouldn't mind to have this man working on his intention to grow Petrel (as per his interview)

Straw Poll stats (8th July) 35 shareholders responded (Advfn and Proboards). 32 shareholders believe that changes are long overdue and feel that Roger Tamraz offers the better chance of recouping shareholder losses and want the Board to proceed with the Russian licences. 3 shareholders do not want changes and believe the current Petrel board offers the better chance of recouping losses and do not want the Board to accept the Russian licences. The 32 hold a total of 14,835,882 shares (11.87%) The 3 holders represent no more than 6 million shares (4.8%) (holding unknown for one responder so estimated figure based on maximum possible 3% holding) (Above %ages based on 124,947,462 shares with voting rights i.e. excludes the 32,086,538 under injunction)

I meant his group of shareholders in petrel, not aimed at anything else he may or may not have done. It is the involvement with petrel that concerns me, He has as far as I am concerned promised much and achieved nothing for us.

f318 Jul '21 - 15:24 - 19536 of 19541 0 2 0 Elmfield: It is important to get the facts right, for people to make up their minds. When you say "So far he has achieved nothing except break company laws", that's contradictory to the facts? To name just a few of his achievements: * Acquisition of development rights and equity ownership positions in Turkmenistan’s Blocks 1 and II * Origination and development of the Baku-TbilisiCeyhan (BTC) pipeline (1 million barrels per day) * Acquisition and ownership of Lockheed AircraftCompany, Trans Mediterranean Airlines (TMA), Middle East Airlines (MEA) * Origination and development of the SuezMediterranean (SUMED) pipeline (2.5 million barrels per day). If you are happy that this Board will achieve better than Roger Tamraz than that's your perfectly good right - but don't bring invalid arguments F31 that whetted my appetite as I hadn't heard anything positive about Mr Tamraz so I googled your bullet points. I soon found where they came from, a presentation by Netoil to the president of Egypt. Regarding the list I can't find any references to Tamraz, First Arabian Oil Co (his company) and Blocks 1 and 2 Turkmenistan. Plenty for Petronas but nothing for him. Ditto the BTC pipeline He did make an offer to rescue the Lockheed Aircraft Company but the Pentagon vetoed that. He might have bought it later but I doubt it, the yanks weren't keen on one of their primary defence contractors being owned abroad. He did own TMA, as part of some very shady dealings in the Lebanon. To be fair, he was in the middle of a war zone and keeping the militia's happy was probably a prerequisite for survival, however: "Lebanese Forces forbad Tamraz to leave the country and charged him with withdrawing 14 million dollars from Bank Al Mashrek to invest overseas. Tamraz’s deals, his ready payment of political cash and bribes to keep the militia leaders happy had put Bank Al Mashrek in debt to the tune of 175 million dollars. It was also evident that he had transferred some 70 million dollars out of the bank into his private account, and that he had spent a further 6 million dollars on Amine Gemayel’s presidential trips abroad (Interview with Lucien Dahdah, who succeeded Tamraz as ICC director, Al Hayat, 19/1/1990)." (source hTTps://www.majalat.org/sites/default/files/2020-12/Social%20Classes.pdf which has some other stuff that is quite interesting and probably explains why Portugal aren't keen on him owning a Portugese bank) I can't find any reference to him and MEA, but his ownership of that might be feasible due to all the stuff going on in Lebanon during the wars. Tamraz and SUMED appears time after time from Netoil or Tamraz's own biography but nowhere else so I gave up after a couple of pages on that one, so it might be kosher. I haven't got an axe to grind either way, he can't be any worse than the existing BOD in my view. I hope whatever path you guys choose it works for you. I am fairly certain Mr Tamraz will successfully make money for Mr Tamraz and I hope that he will take you along with him if that is what you choose, but I would keep an open mind on some of his successes and how he achieved them, forewarned is forearmed. Good luck all.
