04/10/2007 13:34 | Coal is an extremely strong market at the moment and PTMN have the bonus of being a producer thats ramping up production. The ZA price is equivalent to about 22.5p so we are still at a massive discount over here. If they sign that mooted deal we could see some fireworks here. | nickcduk
04/10/2007 13:07 | Glad to see a sharp movement upwards on almost no volume. Hopefully there will be some positive news shortly regarding the above negotiations! | dbh1234
25/9/2007 08:42 | Not much comment here of late. Results were decent enough but obviously didn't show the full benefits of the new mine ramping up production. More understood and appreciated in ZA and the shares are trading above 300 which equates to over 21p. Coal is a very strong market at present and the sector looks very much in vogue. Should be plenty more to come yet. | nickcduk
31/8/2007 11:12 | Are we perhaps on the move again? | obarmoth

06/8/2007 10:20 | Thats a pretty impressive feather in the cap to have bagged the CEO of Gold Fields as a new NED. Hopefully that shows the scale of ambition PTMN have going forward. | nickcduk
04/8/2007 16:36 | Coal sector strike looming Aug 03 2007 08:22 PM Johannesburg - South Africa's biggest mining union will recommend a new wage offer from employers to avert a strike in the coal sector, the Chamber of Mines said on Friday. The National Union of Mineworkers had agreed during a third round of wage talks to take a revised offer of 7.5-8.5% for the highest category workers and 10% for the lowest category to its members, the chamber said. The chamber represents coal firms Anglo Coal, Xstrata, Eyesizwe, Optimum Colliery, Delmas Coal, Springlake and Kangra in the pay negotiations. Solidarity, a smaller union representing workers in the same industry, said earlier on Friday it had received a certificate from authorities that would allow it to strike. | eugene4

03/8/2007 08:43 | Price shooting up in ZA now. About 19p mid so we will still have some to catch up yet. | nickcduk
03/8/2007 08:41 | OB WOULD YOU RATHER THE THREAD WAS DEAD ALONG WITH THE PRICE.YOU WANT THE PRICE TO RISE AND PEOPLE TO BUY BUT YOU DO NOT WELCOME NEW INVESTORS. | 1smart
03/8/2007 08:41 | someuwin - It means they are in discussions about a significant deal which if concluded could have a major impact on the share price. I should note that the deal might just be a damp squib but if its a good one then the share price will respond accordingly. That isn't reason enough to buy though imo. Todays news definitely is. | nickcduk
03/8/2007 08:39 | Oh, god, I spoke too soon - they're here already.... :-( | obarmoth
03/8/2007 08:36 | IF YOU CHECK RNS THAT,S A DONE DEAL.NOT A DE.RAMPER SURELY WITH THIS NEWS 25P+ | 1smart

03/8/2007 08:30 | Gentlemen, I think we have lift-off... :) I think we patient ones are about to be well rewarded - let's hope that happens before the throng of idiots get here! | obarmoth
03/8/2007 07:58 | Somkhele alone is worth more than the current share price. Its trading in South Africa at about 17.6p this morning. I expect to move sharply higher still and for the London price to catch up in due course. End demand markets are exceptionally strong at the moment for PTMN. That will feed through to the likes of PTMN. | nickcduk
03/8/2007 07:54 | fantastic news.market still sleeping | 1smart
03/8/2007 07:38 | An excellent update today. Expanded production, rising prices and an increase of over 300% in mine value. This should start making big progress once numbers are released. The icing on the cake would be news on the corporate action front. | nickcduk
03/8/2007 07:38 | Only one penny up for a 310% increase in value?! C'mon!! | obarmoth
20/6/2007 09:18 | An excellent opportunity to get into PTMN this morning at 14.25p. The ZA price is now the equivalent of 18p and rising. The disparity in valuation won't continue forever. Im hoping London plays catch up to ZA and that comes about following their mooted deal. | nickcduk |
