29/4/2019 12:06 | Quality houses. === 'Don't buy a home here until you've spoken to us': Furious couple hang a 6ft sign across their £286,000 new-build house to warn off other buyers after builders left their property with 30 faults | tradejunkie2
25/4/2019 17:55 | DaviusMy stalkers have been around for a couple of months now, so if they want to play games then so be it.Complete idiots if you ask me. | discodave4
25/4/2019 14:00 | They won't do anything, because only premium users (i.e. the one's that pay and appear in blue) can vote a post down. I suspect that the fact you "gave them a few hundred posts to keep their (Nortic 007) tiny minds busy" did yourself no favours. Heavily down today, on presumably the slightly negative update from TW. Recovered a chunk of it at least. | davius
25/4/2019 13:58 | Just ignore them. | bouleversee
25/4/2019 10:45 | Imagine having a life so devoid of any worth that you spend your time stalking someone on a message board just to thumbs down their posts? | villarich
25/4/2019 09:37 | Apologies, got a few premium stalkers from CNA thread giving every post I make a thumbs down so just gave them a few hundred posts to keep their (Nortic 007) tiny minds busy. | discodave4
25/4/2019 08:31 | Bellway are a fine one to talk. I've bought a flat off them before and it was a mess. Had to have the ceilings replastered, one of the windows replaced, the taps in the bathroom were loose and the wooden flooring was loose and warped after a month because the concrete floor wasn't level. I wasn't alone either, at least three other owners had issues. They're all the same. Build em fast and cheap. | villarich
11/4/2019 16:06 | Thanks DiscoDave. An important point, which needed expressing, thoughts anyone? Brexit extension seems to indicate a no deal is rather less likely. A good day for house builders. | davius
27/3/2019 14:52 | Bellway boss takes aim at Persimmon for damaging buyers' faith The Bellway boss said: “My approach to customers is one of build the home, get it right first time - not move people in and fix it later.” Persimmon's announcement followed reports the Government was reviewing its participation in the lucrative Help to Buy scheme amid concerns about poor construction quality and missed... | tradejunkie2

22/3/2019 14:06 | As I said, it's a repeat of old news doing the rounds again. Here's a recent report. | davius
22/3/2019 13:24 | GP's post says "a news story today". Anyone know where? I'd like to read it. | bouleversee
22/3/2019 12:54 | The possible issue came to light in November, Persimmon claimed to be checking all homes that might have been affected. It was interesting at the time, to find that the NHBC had signed off houses as being fully compliant with building regs, when some clearly were not. Another case of building so quickly corners get cut. The press did another round on this one in January, but looks to have gone quiet since then. I was personally interested, since the whistle blower that revealed the issue suggested some new properties less than a mile from where I live might have been affected. Nothing in the local press on that, as far as I recall. | davius
22/3/2019 10:42 | Where did you read that, Gliderpilot? That's all I needed! | bouleversee
22/3/2019 09:51 | There is a news story today about a lack of fire safety barriers in Persimmon homes. 1000 homes are to be inspected. Some homes have already been found to be dangerous. | gliderpilot2002
21/3/2019 10:36 | I sold half my holding after they went ex-div, a poor decision at the time but looking better, in hindsight. With the possibilty of a no deal Brexit strengthening all of the house builders are getting trashed. I'd like to be buying back in but I can see another 20% or 30% reduction in the sector if we do crash out. I would expect a strong rebound if we end up with a two year extension, or, as unlikely as it seems, the bunch of bafoons running the country manage to agree a deal. | davius
07/3/2019 14:15 | P.S. According to my iweb account, PSN have a yield of 0%, div. of 110p, xd sometime in June and dividend cover of 0. I wonder if those 0s are libellous as well. LOL. | bouleversee
07/3/2019 14:12 | Are you suggesting the photos are fakes and that they do let off plan buyers inspect before completing the purchase? You would have to be very brave and unafraid of being sued for libel if you lied about such things in a national newspaper and I don't think the directors have denied any of it, have they? I hasten to add it gives me no pleasure to say this as I have a pretty large holding. | bouleversee |
