Persian Gold plc ("Persian Gold" or the "Company")

Issue of warrants

On 2 December 2008, certain Directors and senior management of the Company were issued 2,659,363 warrants which were issued to investors participating in a placing of new Ordinary Shares by the Company (on the basis of one warrant for every two new Ordinary Shares subscribed for ("Warrants"). The Warrants carried an exercise price of 4p per Ordinary Share with an exercise period of two years from the date of issue of the Warrants. The 2,659,363 Warrants held by the Directors and senior management lapsed on 2 December 2010.

The Company announces that it has now issued 2,659,363 new warrants each to subscribe for one new Ordinary Share at a price of 4p per share to certain Directors and senior management ("New Warrants"). The exercise period for these New Warrants is one month from the date of issue. It is expected that the New Warrants will be exercised prior to completion of the acquisition of Hydrocarbon Exploration plc (as announced earlier today). The New Warrants issued to Directors have been issued as follows:

I had seen that shareshark, but I think that the significant paragraph is this:-

David Horgan, Managing director, said the money raised would go on existing projects including two gas exploration blocks in Peru and a "significant" gas discovery in El Dorado, Bolivia.

Note, the money raised is not for Ghana. As there are expenses with the Ghana ratification, looks to me as if they already have a farm-in joint venture partner organised for Block 2A in Ghana.

Three reservoirs were found in Turonian rocks – similar to Jubilee – but two were in shallower Campanian rocks, which "potentially opens a new exploration play", Kosmos said. Samples showed oil of 40°API in the Campanian reservoirs and 32°API in the Turonian reservoirs.

Teak-1 hit a net 73 metres of pay, of which 26 metres hold oil and 47 metres hold gas and condensate. Three reservoirs were found in Turonian rocks – similar to Jubilee – but two were in shallower Campanian rocks, which "potentially opens a new exploration play", Kosmos said. Samples showed oil of 40°API in the Campanian reservoirs and 32°API in the Turonian reservoirs.


The significant points in here are:-


The well's bottom-hole location was just 4.6 km northeast of the first Jubilee appraisal well. (closer to Clontarf's Block)

found oil, gas and condensate in five reservoirs, one of which could have an area of 50 square km. (must spread closer to the Clontarf Block because of the next point)

two were in shallower Campanian rocks, which "potentially opens a new exploration play", Kosmos said.
