I wonder what effects index trackers have in amplifying the share price fall.

There is a general de-rating of the utilities sector and bond proxies irrespective of individual merit

indeed, PNN, SVT, UU going to be a takeover targets soon at these levels..get them before any labour govt does.

Don't see debt levels being much of an issue with PNN either. They have far lower debt than both SVT and UU.

Don't see interest rates rise as much of an issue. Still at record lows, and add in a few 0.25% increases to the base rate and they will still at very low levels.

Yes no one will want water ever again the bottom has fallen out of the market,the borrowings are at a fixed rates looks good to me but I require the yield .

Share price back to 2010 levels looks a little over done this fall it will be another 10 years before we can return to 3% base rates.

This is far wider than just Labour threats.

The prospect of higher interest rates impacting bond proxy stocks,
a potentially tougher regulatory environment, and the sector carrying high
debt levels.

Last two opinion polls. Tories swung back into the lead. Tories making a right mess of things but don't see there being an election soon. And don't see Corbyn winning either. I believe PNN are excellent value at this price. But Markets move on greed and fear.

Back in 2010 I did several profitable sells at around today's price, something is not right here at this price.
