I'm waiting until the US market opens. Could see further volatility there.

Wow! I wasn't expecting that. Is this fall overdone? I wonder what the future level of dividends will be? I am very thankful I took a profit before today. Will continue to monitor.

What's more he's a mate of Prescott's, the most horrible looking creature that walked the corridors of Westminster, back to Fallon, prior to this role he had a minor role at Pearson, director of corporate affairs at Powergen, not quite sure how he attained this position because CV. looks weak, nepotism maybe, or the fact that they could not find any willing takers, but he is not a big hitter, the door is that way Sir!

Expect to see a few more lame ducks including the EU in its current form. Matter of time really.

Well if you had read my post in Sept last year you would see my prediction has come true, all be it earlier than I was expecting.

How Fallon (ceo) still has a job is beyond me, we need someone to come in and shake the company up. He has systematically backed the wrong strategy repeatedly, doubling down on education at the expense of diversification, maintaining the dividend when it should have been cut, and outsourcing to India when they should have been investing in new product.

I see 500 to 600p as fair value but where it could go today is anyone's guess.

PSON looking a bit shaky at the moment. I listened to the management giving a presentation and was particularly interested to listen to the Q and A session where various analysts gave quite a grilling asking searching questions. The way that Pearson do business is changing drastically with the move to digital. Management seem very confident that they will meet earnings forecasts and in the short term are confident that the dividend will be maintained. It is a tempting buy for the dividend, but catching the bottom of the share price dip may be difficult!

US Higher Ed still a huge drag --- but I expect them to hit the lower end of their much reduced (and kitchen sinked) expectations for this year, especially with the pound decline against the Dollar.

For me the huge problem going forwards is the 2018+ earnings forecasts which look hugely over-optimistic. £800m+? Not a chance IMO.

Execution errors at the moment too - technical issues abound in digital for the new term and reputational damage has been done.

I sold my shares last year and would not buy back here.

Does anyone know why there has been a marked drop in share price today?
