The BBC tried to invoke the public good when trying to trample over the services provided by the commercial software providers to the UK education sector. After a protracted battle, the BBC was told to bog off. The fact is that Camelot is not a commercial operator and so has an unfair advantage when attempting ride roughshod over operators like PayPoint and Epay, whose shareholders risk capital in the knowledge they are operating on a level playing.

I'm baffled that Camelot are baffled! Just because the French and the Germans ignore level playing fields, doesn't mean the UK should.

Yup me too....We used to head for Llandudno almost every year when I was a kid and I loved feeding the sheep on Great Orme at one of the picnic bays and then heading down and going on the pier. Playing footy on the west beach greens and games of crazy golf...those were the days ! I loved castles so remember visiting nearly all of them in North Wales.

I've taken the profit for now. Wait to see how market digests the news further down the line. And of course, for Camelot to appeal..

I wouldn't be jumping up and down at the moment if I were you. Camelot will take this to the courts and should win given that Germany and France lottery providers are not so constrained. IMHO.
