04/3/2011 15:46 | This has been posted prior, hope it helps, btw, they had us all confused. The veto is being called a soft option veto whereby the electorate of NJ will vote via referendum. *There was extreme confusion leading up to the offical press release. Initially, the veto was supposed to have been a "conditional" one in which the state legislature would be able to make necessary amendments, then return the bill to Christie for a signature within 10 days of receipt. The bill was S490 and earlier in the day was posted as a "conditional veto" then changed over to "absolute veto". It was not immediately clear what caused this confusion. | bleepy
04/3/2011 14:24 | hmm these later articles are contradictory to earlier articles Bleepy - yesterday the report was that Christies veto was conditional, but the ones you and others have posted say that it was unconditional? So which is it?? | jezza123

04/3/2011 10:42 | My sentiment is that Christie's decision reflects on-going negotiations with the Federal authorities and it buys a bit more time - but the fact that he hasn't vetoed it outright has got to be bullish.... | jezza123

04/3/2011 08:43 | that short isnt looking too good :) nice try though, seemed a logical way to punt it, but I think the next downward move will come on any bad regulatory news from europe, such news could send the share price into the sub pound mark. longer term I think this will be a good performer and will see the likes of 5-6 quid. | adieadie
04/3/2011 08:41 | Other US states proposing to regulate online poker will no doubt take on board NJ's comments and ammend where necessary to ensure smooth passage. The Fed's ongoing investigation into payment processors and other avenues need speedy resolution. They then can produce a bill to regulate online poker that would be better suited to maximise player liquidity and revenue. There is news of a federal bill being introduced later this month with Barney Frank as co-sponsor. Whichever way it goes BPTY are well placed to benefit. | bleepy
