I am worried about the same thing:

"We are pleased to report that the Group has traded well and in line with our expectations in the period and is expected to deliver double digit growth in the Group's profit before tax from continuing operations compared to the same period in the prior year.

In addition, our tight cost controls and working capital management continues to provide a solid platform upon which to grow.

Alan Rommel, CEO, commented:

"This robust first half performance combined with an encouraging sales pipeline from both existing and new customers, gives us confidence in achieving sustained organic growth, supported by our continued investment in new sales capability and our development of higher value services targeting the high growth data solutions markets."

opodio: The above article is nonsense. I am an IT contractor in Government work (most times). It was and is a storm in a teacup...

If you want to know anything about boom times in IT tell me - I know! (especially front-end work for Apps, Iphones, Ipads, Android, there is so much that needs to be done - its boom times...

Also worth reading specifically public sector

Following the public sector changes introduced in April 2017, responsibility for compliance with the IR35 legislation has been shifted from the individual contractor, to the public body or recruitment agency. As predicted, this has reportedly triggered an exodus of IT contractors within the public sector, as well as an increase in day rates to compensate for the reduction in take home pay. In spite of this, HMRC have stated that “the available evidence shows that the public sector reform has been effective in tackling non-compliance with the off-payroll working rules”.

very bad news for IT contractor sector as margins being squeezed even more

Wait until it warns

Brexit is delaying a lot of projects in the finance world
That will lead to a lot less contractors

If PTY goes to 7p, the PE will be 3 ! Parity have over the past decade occasionally shot up in a short space of time to 30p or more. So, we could quickly double from here and the shorters will get burned.

opodio: If you looks at SC jobs market now its as buoyant as its ever been. Just go to jobserve and type in "SC" (which basically means government IT contract job)

In the past 7 days, in london there have been 250 SC job ads on jobserve alone, nevermind parity or the other firms..Often these ads are for multiple jobs too.

I have no axe to grind as I sold my parity weeks ago.

I rarely post here these days and reading the rubbish by some posters makes me realise why. The IT people market is strong and this small company is recovering slowly but is doing well on a number of measures as stated in the recent update. The market cap is tiny and the upside potential is huge. I have no idea why some posters wish to write such one line statements - like ‘7p is coming’
What does that achieve? Are you trying to unnerve investors. why would you want to do that? I’m a serious investor in this company and I find these comments frankly pathetic. The directors are working hard to continue what has been a long hard recovery. Maybe you’ve lost a lot of money and you want to vent your anger in which case I feel sorry for you but please don’t post unless you have some solid evidence to share.

Guys - I don't think you understand the business. Most of the turnover is IT staff, which has low margins on high revenue, which is why the market cap is so low. The company also has a service and software side which has higher margins and is growing. They can use their own IT people to fill the need for the growing services/software part. The company is on a PE of about 6, and a low PEG factor, far too low for the prospects imo.
