28/6/2018 16:16 | I think we all know it's either 7am tomorrow Rns or 16.25pm Rns tomorrow. Do not have this lot down as sneaky as always replied to my mails in the past. | dave4545
28/6/2018 15:59 | Certainly extremely odd. We were told results end of may in last rns. Leaving it to last permitted day indicates real struggles . | 1savvyinvestor
28/6/2018 12:44 | Something still doesn't smell right. If the accounts have been signed off by the auditors and the board, why delay publishing them ? Mmmmmmm......Guess we will find out tomorrow. | fft
28/6/2018 08:49 | it is indeed spread betting and I only put relatively small amounts in a position . I've gone for the September option. Will probably get rid of it if we spike up. Unless the board are lying to us I can't see much downside but at 1p there is a limit to how far it can fall anyway!! | 1savvyinvestor
28/6/2018 08:14 | stiffybristol-It's spreadbetting so great care needed with leverage and position sizing. There is a much bigger spread than with share dealing (where spreadex make their profit) but the prices move in tandem with the normal bid/offer. Depending on which market you trade (ie. daily or up to 4 quarters away) then the spread can by up to 15% on the March contract, although that can be bettered at times. Off course the advantage is that any profit is tax free as it is classed as betting. | pj 1
27/6/2018 19:43 | How does Spreadex work on Paragon, is it like traded options? How much does it have to move to make a profit and in what time? cheers | stiffybristol
27/6/2018 11:44 | just taken a long on Spreadex !! | 1savvyinvestor
27/6/2018 11:41 | For someone not already over committed and sitting on a big loss this could be an excellent buy in point!! remember it went from 1.5 to 6 pretty quickly in Autumn 2016!! | 1savvyinvestor
27/6/2018 11:13 | phowdo, lol, I believe Friday latest, not late Friday! | pj 1
27/6/2018 11:07 | If they do release results that at least is a positive; unless there is a caveat saying they are suspending!! | 1savvyinvestor
27/6/2018 10:50 | Friday at 4:50pm? | phowdo
27/6/2018 10:35 | I have today been reassured that Results will be published by Friday latest. | pj 1
27/6/2018 10:25 | nothing yet!! They really are taking this to the wire and I do not find it amusing. | 1savvyinvestor
27/6/2018 06:54 | I’m thinking after yesterday we might see something from them today. | playful
26/6/2018 15:27 | Quoted Companies that turn over £10M perhaps £20M that are in profit are worth more than £1.78M todays MK cap. It is more about the prospects and until recently Paragon looked like a company that could make £1,000,000 per year. P/E ratio's are more accurate when trading and profits are static yearly. There are plenty of AIM companies nearly bust that are worth far more than Paragon that aside Paragon have not helped themselves and need to tell a much better story than they have done in the past to keep happy shareholders and an upbeat price. There is a lot (like you and many others here) to like about the company, I am sure things are more of a blip than disaster but when a share price grinds to today's level it makes the fundraising if needed really dilute existing shareholders. I have bought Paragon all the way from 2.4p on the way up and from 4.79p on the way down, like you I am not far from that 3% threshold. The fact John Dobson bought at 2.5p inspired me to buy more. To reiterate any problem is about 2018 trading...we are all on the same side and much respect for your posts. | stiffybristol
26/6/2018 14:53 | stiffybristol I agree with your comments ref 2017 Results. However, (I hope to be proven wrong), but I think your valuation is too positive. A 2017 EBITDA level of say 2% and a slow start to 2018 hints to me of the same for 2018. The Market will want some sort of confirmation of much better profit margins and positive cash generation before a doubling of the share price. Maybe I'm wrong! All IMO. I also hope one day they will stop quoting EBITDA in isolation | pj 1
26/6/2018 14:42 | I don't think there is a problem with the 2017 results. They have told us the second half was poor and the reasons why. The problem if there is one is the current 2018 trading up till now and possibly the known order book for the next 3 months and months 10 to 12 of this current year. Good that Mark Pyrah called you, it shows they are watching and most likely do care about the share price. If there is no concern for this trading year, the company stays on AIM then the shares are a massive buy from this level. They should instantly go back to 2p. | stiffybristol
26/6/2018 14:05 | well here's a thought. If investors are panicking and results Ok there should be huge spike up!! | 1savvyinvestor
26/6/2018 13:31 | Mark pyrah has given me a call and told me John Dobson is not on holiday and is on business in London. Make of that what you will.... | fft
26/6/2018 13:23 | Probably one seller selling in lots. I almost get more concerned when someone bails out for 2074 shares as a likely employee rather than investor. These boys are probably great at making models but lack the skills of how to deal with a company on AIM. For John Dobson to be on holiday in what amounts to crisis week seems incredible. | stiffybristol
26/6/2018 12:25 | Not exactly reassuring to see 1.75mill shares offloaded in 1/2 hour this morning. | mortimer7
26/6/2018 10:49 | Sub 1p coming anyway by the looks. | pj 1
26/6/2018 10:47 | Ties in with a post above? I'd suspect the Accounts have been signed off, but they are waiting for probably the 'going concern' to be signed or an outlook statement. Hopefully its not a debt collection issue they are waiting payment for, as a note to debtors. I'm still hopeful of Results (just) in time. BWDIK. | pj 1 |
