Why does someone always vote PJ's posts down? Who are you? What is your problem?

Same as the 950k the other day, just a delayed large trade.

"OK – Ordinary trade with delayed publication requested"

phowdo- I think the ''OK'' trade means it was negotiated directly at reduced spread probably between Brokers or Direct access, so yes someone has a Buyer?

The 750k was done at no discount to the bid.
Perhaps suggests the MMs are now confident that they can shift the large lumps of stock they are buying.

Spreadex have been close only for months. I did phone them on Friday and was told longs positions cannot be currently taken due to their own risk limits. It indicates some are over leveraged which is probably exaggerating the effect of the current seller imo

I personally was long with spreadex at about 4p. I ditched that at about 3.5 - glad I did as a heavily geared. Still holding all my real shares and am confident that in a year this will be seen as a blip. There is 100% a distressed seller. If someone has the courage to buy another 200k will it be met by another 750k sell?

Doubt it. As soon as the MM's know there is no more supply, the price will be marked up. Will be interesting to see if any rns (for a large holder). If no rns, then suspect the margin calls could still be in play. Will dummy trades with Spreadex say anything about that ?

All that buy did this morning was let the distressed buyer out. Hope he/ she has bloody well gone now!

PJ1,Your point about spreadex (and i think someone else mentioned IG) is quite possible. It is one of the problems with gearing on small caps. If the share price drops and you need to sell to get back within margin, that will probably lead to a further share price fall and another margin call. If buyers appear that can bring an end to the misery, but with a thinly traded share like PEL, the misery can continue until you lose your entire position. With Spreadex and IG being limit up, there could have been a lot of anguish with the recent share price movement. Potentially 5 or 6% of PEL shares have been in play. So, either the company has been pulling the wool over our eyes or it appears to be a good opportunity.

Pretty sure that we are seeing the death rattle of a distressed seller . Business remains good and we are now massively undervalued ! I'm already fully invested . Still just in profit and confident we will return to at least 4p fairly rapidly

I must make an effort to come to the next AGM.

Well to be fair things do change and they are generating cash now so no reason why that should not continue. I remember John Dobson saying in the AGM that at some point in the future they will have a ''problem(!)'' of what to do with the cash.

Then what was the point in the resolution. At this stage a minimal amount of money would help stop the bloody wound.

They still get tight for working capital and rely on overdraft. Plus I've rarely experienced any significant benefit from share buy backs.

Fundamentally, unless there has been some dramatic change, they posted the 6 month figures saying everything was on target. They knew the real 8 month figures as it was posted two months past the interims and in their business the next 4 months is going to be pretty well known. So unless there has been a real anomaly they look like making £1.25M on a £15.7 turnover.

At the AGM they passed a resolution to buy back company shares. Why are they not mopping up and cancelling at sub 3 pence?

A total stab in the dark. Spreadex have been ''close only'' for months with no more long positions allowed. I wonder if the slow but now 56% share price decline from highs has resulted in margin calls with open losses which cannot be supported financially, and in effect causing a forced seller(s)

Spreadex are still close only.

975k Thats about 0.5% of the companies stock in one go.
Perhaps that is the end. Or the beginning of the end.
