They will need more money, the placing won't last that far into the new year, perhaps MTR might take an interest on PJ's nod, they're expecting a cash injection soon.

The share price fell fairly soon after my first buy (sadly not an unusual investing experience).
I bought again at the lower share price and the share price has since recovered.

Doubtless others will say that there are already umpteen ADVFN threads on Papua Mining
- in which case many apologies but despite serious efforts I cannot see them.

According to the company's own website:

Papua Mining plc is an exploration company with projects in Papua New Guinea in the Ring of Fire region, exploring for large scale copper-gold porphyries similar to Grasberg, Bougainville & Wafi-Golpu and major gold deposits such as Ok Tedi and Lihir. The Company commenced trading on the AIM exchange on 2 March 2012.

The share price gain of over 40% earlier today despite the absence of published news is not entirely unknown for small AIM cos
but still fairly unusual. I bought a few and will wait a while and see.

Hutchinson and Soukup have got form disrupting sleepy boards, to the benefit of shareholders. No idea why the buying today though, relatively small change has shifted the share price sharply so far.

I noticed THAL's move a few weeks ago. I don't like the way Duncan Soukup let THAL shareholders down by allowing them to believe the company's pipeline was stronger than it was and I don't like a property transaction he conducted using company funds but he's nobody's fool and there will a be reason for him investing here.

I'm afraid I don't know it but its almost worth just sitting on a few and waiting. They were running on fumes before he came along but it seems they have some interesting potential.

How long will 500k last? Not far into the new year I'd say so they better be close to some good news.

The company has enough capital for its current round of exploration now and an interesting new major shareholder. Must be something on the horizon on this one? not that anyone's watching this..yet!
