And if he gets taken out, he no longer has a job. He's not running Glencore, he'll need to work again!

The board wouldn't accept 1.80 onerhanded. That's about 6.5p in old money and barely covers our holdings in other companies.
This was 18p not too long ago and we have come a long way since then.
I think you need to get your calculator out and think again.

Going to get a bid, and may well be taken out cheaply.£1.80 would see the board except, but think the true value for all its assets is around £2.60 mark. Adding on any dips…..

I think the GT comparison is very negative, its like having Man City sniffing around your academy - they'll hoover up your best players for nothing.

The CEO needs to reach out to the majors, on his terms, and sell why its in their interest to work with him. Try and strike a JV: they fund the exploration, its their risk, but they enjoy (most of) the upside. Sounds easy doesnt it.

If he waits for them to come to him, or hope he finds a PI with incredibly deep pockets, his fate is the same as every other junior CEO...

Hopefully he's already reached out and started playing them off against each other

It is always about the overview to my mind.

If the sector is unloved then the investors are miserable and it's easy to pick up shares on the cheap for the larger entities.
If the malaise goes on longer it is clearly more difficult for both .

Time and again though people rush into a share that has done well instead of realising every sector has it's time and bottom fishing can be rewarding.

Timing is always the most difficult thing.

IMO

Correct, the likes of glencore are only interested if it’s a bargain.

1. Someone’s done all the exploration work and the mine costs make considerable economic sense vs reward

2, a company have an ok asset but are in poor financial state and can be taken over on the cheap

Look at glencores history, when haven’t they gone down one of these 2 routes?
When have they paid a fair price?

Interesting RNS and quite a jump. If you're holding:

1. Has anyone topped up?
2. Where does it go from here? Drift higher (which would require a buyer) or drift lower (as cash levels deplete).
3. Who funds the development? Do you think it can be done from cash or do they (honestly) think they'll find someone to fund it

I had a look at GT, I read the Glencore headlines but the stock performance is bad and Glencore are there to take it over when it runs out of cash, not 'as an investment' (it's in their interest to take over the acreage for nothing, not pay a premium)

The Permit is valid through to 17 July 2027 and allows for a comprehensive programme of critical mineral discovery focussed works on the highly prospective intrusive linked nickel-copper-cobalt and Platinum Group Metal targe in the north-east of the Dotted Lake project area. Details of the exciting target are outlined below.

Wide spread, expect this to settle around £1.10 mark. News all setting up for a big share price push.

Excellent I am so pleased!

Could be news or a general uplift in sentiment .
SOLG the same for me.
I was hoping it was news over there.

But change of sentiment might be the best news of the lot!

I’m thinking news on Monday or at least in the week. Those in the team are building up their stock, MM must be very short of stock by now.
