So you think 550boepd is a good return on a $23million spend

The clean up is a fairly standard procedure with the work over rig. It's just a shame they had to resort to the CPU for the first clean up attempt.Nothing is for certain but no reason not to believe that flow rates will increase.

It's got a float of 778m shares with roughly another £50million at 4% annual interest to be converted into shares and another 50million in warrants and share options Yeah I don't think obtaining shares to close gonna be an issue. Think about this thou. What happens if Alkaid2 is utter garbage after clean up. They'll be zero farm in and they'll be raising from an awful position. Are you really comfortable gambling everything you have on the success of this one well

I wonder if the shorters will ever admit to any concerns about their positions, or whether they'll quietly close their shorts and move on to the next unsuspecting prey.

I'm wondering if PANR has the liquidity to allow the larger short positions to close at a sensible price. I think it's quite likely that some of them will be caught if positive news emerges from Alkaid - or indeed some other positive news arrives from left field. No doubt the MMs are ready to squeeze them if they get the chance!

I hadn't realised how useful the good ol' RSI was for PANR these days. I've tended to pay little attention to technicals on conviction shares. Mea culpa!

In days of yore, I used my own spreadsheets to calculate and track RSIs. That was obviously before such things were widely and freely available. I suspect that many people who use them these days haven't got the least idea how they're calculated.

I don't think bullyboy minds rude, HD. Doesn't seem to put him off posting here.

So bully, do I take it you're scaling in shorts now? That's quite dangerous, as technically this chart is going back to c 71, maybe more if the 2 major shorts decide to close while they're still in profit.

No matter what you think, one has to trade what you see, and this daily chart looks good. Weekly chart is likely to turn positive soon too!

I think it goes without saying that rig workers have mobile phones, even in remote parts of Alaska!

Sorry bully - that was a little rude. I have dealt in US oriented oil stocks for a few decades, including years in broking. Even in the absence of an RNS, it is normal for Americans who get info from the field to start having an impact on the share price from shortly after 11am UK time. In my former professional role, a sharp pick-up in one way trade at such times was the trigger for a call to the company. Amusingly, the London offices of these companies usually knew nothing - but at least they could find out pretty quickly!

Recognise the patterns bully! Are you a novice?

Looks as if reason 1 has been triggered by reason 2 now. Sensible choice, those of you with a subzero holding!

Must have missed the part of level 2 where it tells you the location of the buyer
